Dier's renewal is probably seen as a mere formality whereas Kane is presumably set to be round after round of talks that'll probably run for a while. It's more than likely they've already started talking to Harry anyway..... The article doesn't say we want to "start"; it says they want to able to give it full attention.

kane is looking for trophies. if he understands that here is impossible to get them, he will go away. paratici-conte are the last hope.

Hear you but surely Dier is easier to get done than Kane right now. Do what you can.

If something is easy, it's either already done, or can be left until the difficult jobs are done first.
If we actually believe that Kane might sign a new deal, that needs to take top priority.

1) It may take a lot of time/ negotiating
2) It might take up some of the salary budget so should come first rather than not being able to afford it
3) We're in a good space today. Why wait until it goes tits up and he wants out?
4) Maybe he too thinks Dier is one of the players holding us, and therefore him, back.

Good business is doing the right deal when the timing is right. I'd be all over Kane now with contact talks.

They can and almost certainly all over Kane but also able to deal with Dier at the same time.

Sometimes waiting is the best thing you can do in a negotiation and you can be waiting and also all over the deal.

But if we do win a trophy this season Kane might still want to move regardless, if that's what he's decided to do. I mean just because we win a trophy this season it doesn't mean we'll start winning them all the time.

If we win the FA Cup , finish in the top 3 and reach the last 4 in the CL...I dont know...it would look like we are going places.

I can’t see him signing a contract, poss a 1 year extension with conditional opt out eg he can leave xM in 2023/24 if we don’t finish in CL

I don’t think we will sell him this summer regardless unless someone pays c.150M (which I wouldn’t rule out)

weve got one actual good Cb at the entire club. i like lenglet when hes on the ball but hes a poor defender. the rest are out of their depth n all departments. it really does kill the side having such a shit defence. pissing in the wind

didn't want to put a meaningful challenge/tackle/block in when it mattered. Preferred to do his usual arms to the side and turn around routine.

ENIC will give him a new deal and we just have to accept this for the next 4 years
