Ex-Spurs Player Eric Dier

"If we bring 1 more in......."

....That's who the question marks are intended to represent.
Missed that.

Yes we need someone who can do a job on both the right and left.

Still don't agree with Phillips above him in your pecking order yet, no evidence for that.

Even with another CB in I still think it's a worry that we are 2 injuries away from Dier/Davies or Phillips starting.

Unless Phillips is more ready than it seems ( a la Dele in 2015) then the CB depth really isn't looking great.

I suspect that Ange won't have much time for a player (Dier) that he flat out knows isn't suited to playing his way.

Dier's interview made me shed a crocodile tear.

I hope he can be a better friend from now on and piss off to Dele's next club wherever that might be.
Really? ...really REALLY?

FIXED btw!

He's a decent enough human being (more than can be said of MANY players)

Just cos his early promise and ability may have deserted him, doesn't make him any less likeable!

I wish more players had his outlook and level headed mature nature...

But you carry on with the hate!

I think he's a lovely bloke. I also think he is currently the worse Centerback in the EPL worse than Jones and Maguire Dawson Killman. Both these things can be true. Whom ever we replace him with will be better. I can't even work out what he is doing on the Barca goal I'm sure Ange has asked him to explain though.

I really hope this is how Ange asked the question (just replace the word 'someone' with 'eric'

He’s not a baby. Ten Haag has made it clear to him that he’s surplus to requirements, and that he’s taking the squad in a different direction with a new leader nucleus. Ten Haag will inevitably judged on whether that was the right course of action or not. It’s up to Maguire to either stay and collect his money or push for a move. That’s the business.

If they’re treating Maguire badly, then so are we with Lloris, but IMO neither is the case.

It’s not humiliation for a manager to say to a player that they dont believe it’s a good fit. In fact given how much protection in the general media that Maguire has enjoyed despite years of ropey performances, I’d call it a brave decision by Ten Haag. Just like his call on De Gea.

No; it's not the same as us & Lloris at all.

Was Ten Haag just being "brave" to let Johnny Evans play ahead of him in a friendly even though he's not even a Man U player? ......Even though he's alleged to have told HM that he wanted him to stay at the beginning of the summer....?

....If they thought he was that shit and unwanted; why did they potentially price him out of a move when they started banding around stupid prices like 40m quid?

ETH was hedging his bets on the player with false whispers for much of the summer; only to freeze him out late in the window when it suited him.

Maguire protected by the media????? ..........You must be trolling!

Still; whatever... I've no dog in the fight.

Weirdly, that clip makes me hate Jose more!!

If he's actively encouraging this, no wonder the players do as they're told!
I don’t like Jose, but I don’t think he’s actually encouraging players to hurt each other.

More likely that he’s trying to build steel and grit from adversity, rather than be a cry baby. I very much doubt Dier has gone out with the intention of clobbering Sonny, more likely it was a firm challenge but he was too slow and inadvertently caught him.

He’s then saying to Sonny dig deep and tough it out rather than whine about it.

Think it was the Man U game at home when I couldn't make anymore excuses for him. One of the worst pieces of 'defending' I have ever seen. Such a shame it's come to this, but to give him a new contract would be criminal, IMO.
