We have VAR now. Yellow is fine.
The fact that we have VAR and players still throw themselves to the ground only makes it even more baffling and ridiculous.
He knew it himself the second he tried it. No protests whatsoever.
Still made a right helmet of himself. If players knew there were serious consequences to doing it, and not just a yellow, it would soon be stamped out of the game.

I would have zero problems with a red (although appreciate it would be impossible to implement in reality).
