Match Europa Conference - Mura (A) 25th November 17:45KO

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

😁 ok boys I know your all in pain but trust me this is a very good night to be a Spurs fan.

There was a danger however small that we'd stumble into the empty narrative that a few draws and wins against poor EPl sides was proof that our problems could be fixed by Conte's magic coaching wig. I saw a bit of this in the last few days reappraisal of Eric Dier. I got a bit sucked in myself. That he among the zombies we saw today could be fixed.

Well tonight was a rubicon. We crossed over in to the clarity of the threshold of competence that only three of tonights starting eleven met (im being generous ) these player will not play for Conte and Levy will have to buy him what he wants or fire him. Remember the United game...this is the same a dawn dressed in darkness.

Gil just isn't ready yet and Rodon deserves to be set aside from the rest of that bunch. I don't wan't to see Sanchez or Dele in the shirt again. N'Dombele can sit on the bench until he's sold, so that's technically wearing the shirt.

Had to work, I couldn't believe it when someone told me the score. I honestly thought they were winding me up.
There has to be big changes in January. I am sick of the bald twat's excuses.

Just a thought but against teams like NS do we really need to play 3 CBs in a back 5? It’s not as if we have any decent CB who can bring the ball out or decent WBs. Would t a back 4 be sufficient with an extra body in midfield suffice? It would certainly give us a bit more control in the middle of the field. I think conte may be ought to look at that and be a little more flexible.
Also in most of the games so far I don’t see any sign of playing on the front foot. Which is what everyone wanted. If he has hadn’t time to implant a tactical footprint then we should at least try to take the gane to the opposition playing a bit more higher up on the front foot. The Leeds first half was like today where we let the opposition have the ball and dominate. Didn’t we all want a manager to come in to release the handbrake and play with some pace, fight and intensity. Don’t think I’ve seen any of that yet. We are still way too slow and lack any movement just relying on the CBS to hit the ball.
Looks like manure are getting Rangnick. Why didn’t we get him instead the Don who so far has been next to useless. He certainly doesn’t have the football knowledge of Rangnick in terms of coaching, vision, , tactics or probably players. This Don guy only knows players through his agent.

It was not the sending off that decided the match it was the lacklustre performance. I do not know wtf has happened since we finished 4th and got to the Champions League final but we look absolute garbage that is after spending £400m and signing 13 players. The fact is something stinks and it is the players attitude we used to regularly rotate when it came to European games but we used to bring players that were hungry. That team was not hungry for the win they thought they could just turn up.

The turning point was about Feb in the season we got to CL final - after that Feb the PL performances (and results) were poor .... and the only decent performances were in CL for which players seemed motivated

TBH; 1 point vs 0 points mattered little... Tonight was about avoiding the play-offs and anything but a win was a fail. Peeps would have been just as pissed if we hadn't pushed til the end trying to get the win.

Playing with 10 men you run a risk... C'est la vie.
That 1 point was a safety net. A draw was still a bad result, but with that point, qualification was in our hands with a win over Rennes... Now, we have to win over Rennes and hope that Vitesse don't smash Mura to overtake us on goal difference. We really don't need that. We have fumbled a decent group in a competition we should be going all out for!

I'd guess Conte think we have better options at CB that at CM where after Skipp and Hojbjerg, the options are not great to even get a 3rd CM ... and that's without rotation. Romero's injury may or may not change that equation

Silly putting Gil in there....

And to think that, along with Roma, we were supposed to be the biggest team in the competition.

It's down to Nuno, though. Crazy selection policy for the ECL games.
Not exactly digging Conte's selections today but hardly any scope for error.
