Euro 96 was pretty awesome. I can remember being in Rhodes, which was heaving with English, Scots, Germans and many others. The atmosphere was superb, everyone drinking together and having a laugh, then packing out the pubs watching the games.Nah I don’t think that all English are arrogant. We hate that vindaloo pish and 3 lions just as much as you’ll hate no Scotland no party. If we could understand what the foreign teams sing we’d likely hate those just as much. The Scotland England rivalry will always be massive and I jump on it but once we get back to Tottenham business we are all in it together. That’s just what has to happen. Still think the Dutch supporters are magnificent. This tournament is best I’ve witnessed for fans enjoying themselves with each other and opposing fans.

Having attended various World Cups and Euros, I do agree with those who say the festival aspect of tournaments is a very good thing, and I've had some cracking times with people from all over the world just being in the respective host nations during a tournament. Also, I have no problem with Scotland or Scots people, and I wish them well to a degree.
However, one major aspect of football emotion is misery, so with that in mind I hope Hungary win.

I like Wales and wanted Wales at the tournament. You obviously get anyone but England welsh fans but I find the Welsh are generally significantly less bitter/obsessed.
I want Scotland to go out because every single tournament I've supported England, Scottish fans have wanted every team we've played to win. They flew Italian flags during the Euros final. There is no reason for England fans to be magnanimous towards them.
I just can't imagine being a Real Madrid fan and then going on the Real Madrid forum and telling them all how shit Spanish fans and their national team is.
You can substitute Real Madrid/Spain for any other club and country and it all boils down to the same thing - just bizarre.
