Match Everton v Spurs April 3rd

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Baloney is just an ugly version of Conte, get rid asap. Mason is a non event.
What has happened to our players this season? Son has turned into Danny Inngs, Romero is morphing into Sanchez and Dier is just Dire with at least one brainfart every match. Our current back three couldn't keep a clean sheet if their lives depended on it.
Meanwhile Lucas has turned into Charlie Adams and Kane deserves an Oscar for his playacting. Shocking, I could hardly believe that performance was by a team that once played the most attractive football in Europe. 1-0 up and the opposition down to 10 men, and there's only one team in it - fucking Everton.
Roll on the end of the season please, I'm ashamed to be Spurs right now. Embarrassing. Fuck top 4 because this mob wouldn't stand a chance.

Without Kane next season we could genuinley go down.

Not even joking.

Can you imagine this group anchored near the bottom scrapping to survive? doesn't bare thinking about.
Levy and patarici should have thought about that before handing over reins to mk2. What were they think! We need someone in now to start planning fir next season. These deluded ducks think we get top 4 playing the same shit football. That ain’t gonna happen. Got someone new in now get them to start adapting the styke if play ready to hit the ground running next season. As it is we won’t have a new manager in place long before start of next season, there’s a bunch of loaners coming back plus you’d expect some new arrivals and Kane leaving. That is a lot for a new manager to come and sort out. The process should have started straight after cunte was sacked. We are truly ducked next season.

As someone pointed out in the Hugo Lloris thread, the rot starts at the back. Lloris attempted to play out from the back (poorly) a number of times and we constantly conceded possession in dangerous areas from sloppy passes to or from our motley backline. The first priority has to be a GK with a decent pass + an experienced, commanding CB.

We desperately needed that extra body in the middle. I can't wait to see Sarr + Biss and Bentancur back and under a positive, possession-based coach. Their first thought is to press and progress the ball.

He could if you simplified his job. The fact is with the over tactical side and the repeating stuff in training so it becomes automatic means we get the best of neither with our squad.

Football is a simple game and we all over complicate it.
Nah. He can't beat a man to save his life and his first touch has also become dreadful. If a good offer comes in for him in the summer, we should take it with both hands.

You just have to laugh or you’ll cry. I thought we would get some sort of reaction from conte questioning their professionalism, alas it appears there is no fight in this team. Rip it up and start again.

No leaders anywhere. You can see it plain as day.

Midfield was non-existent today. They did nothing. That includes Skip BTW.
To be fair, it looked liked Everton played sensibly and tried to pull them all over the place. They both have engines, but they looked like they were over-stretched a lot of the time. Neither are the rangey, pacey types. I think this was on the manager(s).

I was fuming at the team yesterday, but today I'm just back where I was, thinking we need a manager who knows how to actually beat a team based on strategy and tactics, not fucking 'Plan A or the highway'.

After Villa i was fucking angry.

After Southampton i was fucking pissed off.

Today, i'm slightly grumpy.

After Brighton ill be .........
bored waiting GIF

Was gutted on Sunday, when I had to make a choice of the Brighton game, or a family get together next Saturday at 5pm.. Chose the family, as it is with the grand kids..
Now? Pretty happy, my ticket went on and sold in 10 minutes on exchange. If we play like that Saturday, I feel for the poor fool who purchased my ticket..

What was the fucking point in bouncing Conte out and just carrying on with the same, arguably worse shite ? The 2 substitutions, the lack of pressing when 1 up against 10 men, why ? It has all been said in the thread already..

Looks like it actually sent poor Daveebee over the edge.. Spurs will do that to you..

You're going to miss some exciting football (by Brighton, obvs!)

Everton fancied it from the start and we were utterly appalling. Our centre halves were dreadful and seemed determined to give the ball away or get caught in possession. Or midfields tried but their limitations showed and our front three were utterly dreadful. Son has been getting dogs abuse, how Kulusevski avoids it is beyond understanding. The only slight positives were our wingbacks, but that wasn't much.

If Everton had a World class striker, we would have been utterly buried.
I actually thought they started more nervous and cautious than we did... at least we looked like we were winning the ball... only problem was, we kept giving it back to them!

Their crowd was fucking SILENT until the sending off... the only noise they made was to boo Son (talk about picking the wrong target... it was like shouting at a puppy!!)
It felt like a pre season friendly first half, no urgency, no nothing, just 'meh'

...when it DID get lively 2nd half, we didn't have the wherewithal or intelligence, or ability to take advantage!

Honestly, 1-0 against a 10 man team near the foot of the table.... and we gave THEM the advantage!!

It literally doesn't make sense...

I knew Stellini would come out with the 'Football Clichés for beginners' line about "Goodison being a tough place to come..."

not last night it shouldn't have been... they were in their knees mentally at 0-1 down, and 10men....
yet WE somehow gifted them a way back in by just letting them back into a game we should've put to bed as soon as Kane scored the pen.

You see the likes of Arse score twice in quick succession to kill games off... it's no secret, if you hit a team when they're down, they inevitably crumble.

... and yes, I get that it's easier said than done to 'just score twice in quick succession'... but at least MAKE like that's what you're trying to do, and you never know.

As soon as we'd scored, we should've gone straight at them again for another...
At best we'd have doubled our lead, and at worst we'd have kept the ball up their end...

But no, we literally handed them back the ball, and hardly saw it again til Lloris picked it out of the net with that little furrowed brow confused expression on his face!

...and to think I went into the game with a smattering if confidence!

Fuck that... Not Any more.

Brighton are gonna pump us Saturday.... and there's not a THING we can do to stop it!

11 vs 10...surely the sensible thing to do is put another midfielder on and pack the middle and take a CB off?

what's the need of the extra player being a CB? it's just pointless and invites pressure as we have less chance of keeping possession.

3 in the midfield and I very much doubt Keane would have had that much time on the ball.

He's been like this all season. His drop off in form is Dele-esque.

Can't control the ball, contest (let alone win) a tackle, win a ball in the air, find a team-mate other than a 5m sideways or backwards pass, replaced by Perisic for corners

When Doucore was sent off, it evened things up because we were playing with 10 men up to then (nine if you count Kulusevski's contribution)

Son's only use at the moment is as an obstacle in a wall.

If you count the wing backs, we started yesterday with 8 defensive players. That leaves Kane, Son and Kulusevski - our so-called 'attacking threat' according to the 'experts'

Baffling!

I followed the game on here last night (do you seriously think I would miss Married at First Sight to watch us at the moment?).
When TFC went off line, I just knew we had thrown the game away, again. Another occasion when a draw feels like a huge loss.
I sort of get why Stellini felt that he had to stay with the same formation with many of our key players being away on international duty or are injured. I also understand why he felt bound to put Lloris straight back in (probably had no choice). But that does not excuse the crazy decisions on substitutions or why we just didn't go for the kill, surely the players have enough experience to realise what they needed to do.
I still think we are cursed, because this season has been a nightmare so far.

Remember when Spain had so many top notch midfielders that they had to set up in a 460 formation to cram them all in, essentially sacrificing one position to make the most of an abundance of talent in another? It's very similar to that, except for the complete lack of talent we possess in the position we insist on flooding the pitch with...
