He may be overrated but he’s way better than anyone else we’ve had running transfers since (and not being sanctioned by the Italian courts and FIFA is always a plus). He brought in Son, Dele, Toby and Trippier for small transfer fees.

He’s well thought with Liverpool interested after his stints with Red Bull and Monaco. I’d take him back in a heartbeat given the train wreck our transfer business since he left.

We'll get rid of the DoF approach for a couple of years next probably, and then when we have no success to show for it we will get a DoF in, under a different title of course (Sporting Director, Director of Sport, Sporting Director of Football, Director of Sportsball... etc)
