He's a man with one specific skill, knowing what buttons to push, agents to grease, dodgy deal structures to create, in order for there to be opportunities to sign players.
As the President of a football club he has a lot of deficiencies, including horrendous ideas about managers. As a Michael Clayton-type bagman he's a very valuable person to have around.

I really don't get the nostalgia and love that everyone has for Paratici tbh. Is it because he was always on the phone and had that wideboy charm like a trader from Blackbushe Sunday Market?
He inherited an absolute disgrace of a squad that was rapidly collapsing and managed to improve it while working more productively with Levy than many (certainly me) thought possible at the time.
He's not the ultimate solution to the problems at Spurs, but we'd be much worse off today if not for him.
Why would we re-employ a proven crook? I don't want this person near the club...dishonest....we'll end up with Juve rejects whilst he pockets money..

Can’t really call them success stories either. Bentancur helped us get CL for half a season so probably the closest to a hit

He did better than having Levy there on his own but IMO Gabbanini had 1 window with Ange and did more for us than Paratici did in 4 or 5 windows. I think Lange has laid some very good foundations even if we can all see that we needed more senior players. Not sure I'd blame Lange for not getting deals done for any of Eze, Gallagher and Neto either.
Paratici is just overrated by Spurs fans IMO, I'd stick it out with langer for a couple more windows and try to see this squad build through before giving the keys to someone else and starting another "rebuild".
