Premier League put back decision on pay-per-view matches

The Premier League will persist with showing matches on pay-per-view despite pressure from clubs to scrap the strategy at Tuesday#s shareholders' meeting.

Clubs were told that there were an average of 39,000 paid subscriptions over the first nine PPV matches, totalling £5.25m, though a portion of that will go to broadcasters whose costs are £100,000 per match.

Further to the initial round of Premier League broadcast selections for the month of November, it has now been confirmed that our away fixture against West Bromwich Albion will now take place on Sunday 8 November, kick-off 12noon.
