When people ask how Russia has managed to infiltrate the UK system it plays out like the above, that's what it looks like in practice.

Johnson: The UK govt “doing everything it can”! Fact check - Did the UK sanction 100 people last week?
He said the UK had sanctioned "275 individuals already, a further 100 last week, the impact is being felt".
Johnson has referred to the 100 figure several times in the past week. But when Reality Check asked for the names of the 100, the government could not provide them and said: "We'll let you know as soon as we have further details to add."
Instead, it sent a list of every person and company currently sanctioned by the UK, including people from Iran and North Korea. It shows that 15 individuals have been sanctioned in the past week:

My daily ritual of checking the TV to see if Russia Today is still broadcasting, has finally borne fruit - it has finally gone!

Now, let's seize some effing assets!

Olympic committee has back tracked on it's earlier stance and has now banned Russian and Belorussian athletes from the Paralympic games.

Amazing what sponsors outrage can do.

Russia have called it a disgrace, & taken it to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

Good luck with that. It doesn't matter what the court decides - if the other athletes refuse to compete against the Russians, which they will, then there will be no Paralympics.

The Russians traditionally like to recruit their spies at places like Eton.

When Boris was there, he decided that he wanted go by one of his middle names, instead of the name that he had always gone by, Alex.

Boris, while not originally a Russian name, is obviously a very common name in Russia.

Little things like this worry me.

Alexi would have been much more reassuring. :ledley:

Conversation being had is all good. Doubtful of any change, given FIFA were visiting their chums yet again in Saudi the other day. Combine this with Johnson now going cap in hand to the same folks for their oil as we reverse from Russian oil.
