Just so I know from yourself and the 3 that agreed.

Mathematically we need 1 point from 5 games to guarantee qualification and there is a 97% chance that our current 9 point haul will be good enough to qualify.

Are you honestly saying we’re getting ahead of ourselves when we say we are as good as qualified?

That needs answering before anything else can be taken forwards because I find it mental that anyone thinks that we’re not already as good as qualified
Can I come back to this? Do you think 10 points guarantees a top 8 place, or a knock out place. Looking at the table it seems mathematically impossible that 10 points could possibly get you an automatic qualification spot. The team in 9th has 7 points with 12 still to play for.Surely one of those on 7 points has to mathematically get at least 4 points?

10 points for knock out, 15 or 16 for top 8

10 points for knock out, 15 or 16 for top 8
Could make a case to say just sack it off now and get into the knockouts. Two extra games after Xmas but it might allow us to get another 6-9 PL points. Not sure, would love to be involved in the white boarding and decision making. We absolutely need some players in Jan, pullback loans (Devine) and new loan / signings

How can you be on match threads and ask this? :roflmao:

Are all just a few who are openly and unapologetically Ange Out.

I mean any manager at any time always has some section of the support fewmin
I've never actually said i want him sacked.

Only that I think he will, ultimately be sacked.
I might have thought it was a better idea a few weeks ago when Tuchel and Amorim were available. But they're off the table now so it'll be Mason again.

Last night was absolutely fucking horrendous. Possibly the worst performance I've ever seen. If we were 5 or 6 down at HT, it wouldn't have been harsh.

BUT.....

In the interest of fairness. That was a pathetic starting 11 and I won't bash the manager. We don't have Romero, VdV, Richarlison, Odobert, and some others need a break.

I said I don't get too excited at beating a changed City team in the cup, so to balance that out, I won't get too bothered about a roasting away in Turkey when we had a bunch of teenagers and benchfodder out there.

Hi everyone

I was out all night and don’t want to scroll through 100 pages .

Can someone just give me a quick summary

Crap
Pretty crap
Average
Pretty good
Good but a bit unlucky

Bit of everything above

The bit I don't understand about those that are anti Ange and anything he or the team does is why they constantly come on and go on about it , I appreciate they are entitled to their opinion , but week in and week out they are here repeating themselves .
I got it the first time , and the second , make your point and move on .
I don't need to be schooled as I'm sure many others don't .
It simply gets boring .
Supporting a club means just that , support them , and not blindly , by all means we are allowed to critique , and debate , but continually bitching about how crap everything is just gets brain numbing and achieves nothing .
Do I think Ange is getting everything right ? no , do I think we are improving with a young team ? yes .
Do I think we will win something with Ange ? possibly , if he can find the consistency that winning something needs , but I think some patience is required . At our best we play some of the best football I have seen in years from anybody , but consistency and patience is needed .
But we now live in the instant noodle society and the one thing that always brings is disappointment .
Couldn’t agree more, particularly about the repetitive nature of the negative posting. Some have been keeping it up for the fat end of a decade. Beggars belief really.

However, this is an open forum and people are entitled to post what they want, as often as they want, within legal reason. What does get to me now isn’t really the repetitive nature of the negative postings, but the repetitive nature of the positive ones, defending the club against this fucktwattery. The only reason these negative cunts post is because they get a chubby on when people engage with them. If people stopped engaging, they’d stop posting so much shite.

Don’t like constant negativity, ignore the posts, be it via the ignore button or otherwise. They’ll soon get bored shouting into the darkness.

I haven't caught up on the entire thread but some posts are, as is to be expected, ridiculous. Calling out some for having the temerity to say they enjoyed it whilst they themselves seem to take some satisfaction from our losses (even if that satisfaction comes from "I told you so" or making fun of the more positive amongst us).

Whilst I did not enjoy it (that defence and midfield for 70 minutes was clearly a car crash), I actually think there are huge positives to take from it, even if they're not obvious ones. F365 did a write up on the game and touched on the fact that it demonstrates how well our first 11 have adapted to this system, given the contrast shown last night with players that aren't use to it. Even comparing our first 11 performances this season vs last, from a defensive point of view (and attacking, but that's not the pint here), represents real, tangible progress. It could all collapse, who knows, it's football, but I genuinely don't get he growing negativity based on what I've seen this year

Meanwhile from the Spurs. "I can imagine a lot to be proud of tonight?" A very friendly question if there ever was one.

I’ll give Ange some credit, you can always tell that when the sycophantic clowns at the club ask dumb questions like that he hates it.

Think there was one early on after he took over where he basically went ‘well no, we lost’ after they tried to frame it as a positive.

Fucking losers.

Yeah. For sure. It must feel really dumb and stupid to answer questions like that. And then to keep answering them. He probably gets such "questions" all the time. BTW, that was not a question. It was just a statement.

Looking back we did ok considering.

Considering Dragusin, is not VDV or Romero and definitely needs to improve his game. Considering Ben Davies as good as he is, he is now back up. Considering Gray 18, Bergvall 18, Will Lankshear 19. Considering the impact of the most intimidating atmosphere those 3 have ever experienced. Considering Lankshears red card leaving us with 10 men with 30 to play.

We didn't play well last night and there's a lot to criticise, however, we very nearly snatched a draw with Kulu's effort from distance.

So... Is it all as bad as most of are making out? 🤔

Case in point, you're waiting and seeing if wr lose and given yourself 3 months for it to happen, you're going to be in a permanent state of misery waiting for an outcome you want to happen as opposed to hoping for us to improve.

Is this mental to everyone else or is it just me?

That's what being a fan has become for a lot of these people.

Ange: "Maybe it was a little bit the changes I made and the environment and atmosphere, but the moments that stick out to me was giving the ball away. We were playing through them quite easily with 10 men but with 11 men we had nowhere near that conviction and that was disappointing."

duh It was about the changes. But it was also about that thing called the preparation.

A huge part of football management has to do with knowing what to expect in particular games and preparing your team and squad appropriately. And that is very MUCH so when you go to some tough, visiting grounds. You gotta prepare for shit like that to withstand what turns out to commonly be some sort of an early onslaught by the home team driven by their supporters and by the atmosphere.
