Must admit, Back in October when Harry said Bale's in the class of Ronaldo and Messi... I laughed and called him stupid.

Doesn't seem so far fetched now.. Certainly the 3rd best player in the world for me.

You were absolutely despondent that they were going to snap him up, and that they were showing greater ambition, when the truth was far, far from it. They were only paying lip service to the idea of a large acquisition in order to deflect from the circus that was the Walcott contract dispute, and to tide over some of the more vocal elements of their support.

All you proved is that you're ITK, which we've all learned means you've got worse information than those that have none at all.
 
The fact that Levy has not said anything may not be as bad as some make out: AVB has a hit list of specific targets that he wants to sign and obviously still wants to keep Bale: Indicate that Bale may go and prices for others move up quickly (greedy bastards all around). Bale may have already indicated he wants to sign but has been told to hold off? Obvious difference between what is public and what is discussed privately with other potential signings who may not sign if Bale is not going to be at Spurs.
