What precisely have we won in the last 10 years? One League Cup! I have the same optimism that if we can keep this squad of players together and perhaps add a few more then we can really challenge for honours - but I wouldn't begrudge Bale a move for guaranteed honours (only last night did they make it through to the Copa De Rey final).

How pathetic is it that people like this exist? Billy big bollocks on the internet, I'm certain he'd be the first to hide under a table if a row broke out. You aren't impressing anyone by calling people names in a forum. It's just a really, really sad way to live your life.

Anyway, it seems those journalists at www.nononsensefootball.com set up the site to stop all this sort of speculation crap being reported in the newspapers - or to at least sort it out. I've been following it since January and they don't seem to get anything wrong.

I can see Madrid definitely bidding, but can't see us letting him go. No way.

When are honours GUARANTEED? Unless you're Man City or Chelsea and pay for them on a whim...

Look what Real are doing this season... absolutely no chance of winning La Liga, a slim chance of progressing in the CL, unless Man Utd have their way, probably their best bet is the Coppa Del Rey... fucking hell, WE could win the FA Cup (I know we haven't either THAT recently... but it's hardly the pinnacle of achievement for a European Super Power, and certainly wouldn't justify moving to Madrid for!)

Hopefully, Modric will continue to flop over there... that's all Bale needs to see to truly make up his mind! (unless he goes to Man City!!!)
 
I really do believe Bale WILL stay if we get Champions League football. He keeps saying he wants to keep improving, and staying at spurs being the main man he will.

No doubt the bids will still be flying in if we do get top 4 but its not like there's only a year left on his contract. It will take a MASSIVE bid to take him off Levy's hands.

Don't know about where you came from but a lot of the folk here at TFC were well aware of Hugo's talents when we were linked with him. There's actually a thread where people discuss the fact he's probably not sign for us as he'd attract attention from other clubs.
