If the government of the day are running scared from Gary bloody Lineker then their time is clearly up and they have nothing to offer this country.

I don't care what Lineker has to say about actual football, why would I give a shit about his views on immigration?

On that point, when are the Tories going to take some responsibility for their policies? They've been in power since 2010, the buck stops with them.

They didn't tho. After whinging about 'snowflakes' and cancel culture and statues being taken down, the right saw a chance to feign outrage in order to divide and distract.

It's become a massive thing because of the Tories - on so many levels.

No provocative language. No tweet.
No need to distract from the shit the country is in. No outrage at the tweet.
No hypocrisy. No outrage.

That it has now exploded in their faces is on them. Hope it continues.

It's not just this single tweet / instance - if it wasn't this then Lineker was constantly heading towards this eventually anyway.

To be fair, the current batch of tories are as repulsive as it get . From Ugly Patel to Cruella, each one is worse than the other.
 
I didn't have a problem with Lineker or the BBC until this strike crap. I don't care about his or anyone else's political views. What they do on Twitter is up to them. I just want them to cover the football.
