Would probably start him now, I think PEH is the better player in a vacuum but there’s just not enough attacking thrust with PEH, Bissouma, and Sarr as your midfield three.
Hojbjerg-Sarr-GLC for Villa with Bentancur coming on in the 60th minute.
Yeah when it rains, it fucking pours.
It’s not a horrible lineup but we’d need some big individual moments to win, especially Son, Kulu, and GLC. Plus very little ability to change the game with the bench.Vicario
Porro ????? Davies Udogie
Hojbjerg Sarr Lo Celso
Johnson Son Kulusevski
I think this is about as good as we can probably put out with Bentancur coming on later.
Starks "January will be big."
No....it won't....how many times have we been here and done the barrel scraping trick....
The safe, possibly even cowardly, choice was to play PEH, that's what really pisses me off about today. Totally at odds with what Ange likes to preach, disappointed in him today. We looked much better when he came on, and it's not a coincidence, he fits this system fantastic.
All on Ange for not starting him.

Bentancur would've been more palatable, but only because he's silkier, ultimately though it still would've been overly conservative.
