Ex-Spurs Player Giovani Lo Celso

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

No it's not a joke. They have both been massive mistakes thus far. They are both midfield players and are among our most expensive buys in history. Your whataboutery in comparison to the king of the waste man is not doing Locelso any favours. Okays he is the Prince of wasters. Is that better? His issues fitness issues can be used in mitigation only so far. He has been a lousey buy just like the French men the only difference is he has an eleventh hour opportunity to redeem himself, which I hope he does because I support SPURS, I'm not some demented Jonas Brothers BlackPink fan. I hope he becomes what I've so mercilessly been Trolled over, better than Kevin Debruyne . But he has a long way to go today as it stands. Bonus I think makes the best point( might be Tommo) regard the coaches and strategy used not suiting the player but I also hear his glee club say he had his best period under Jose , so which is it. I'm delighted he has shown up. I mean I'm still pulling for Gil and was one of tge mugs hoping 'Fatty fatty fat fat' would come good under Ange. Were Spurs fans we live in a perpetual state of hope against reality, the idea that we are hard on our players is rubbish, if anything we are TOO SOFT.
Fair enuf - I get the disappointment given Gio’s transfer fee - and I suppose the important is that we all want him to succeed now - because as you said - [we] support SPURS.

But there are only two types of players I’ll hate/scorn/mock/boo - lazy cvnts like Tanguy and players who are forcing their way out of the club. It’s one thing to not perform cause of injury/not being good enough (LoCelso, Sess, Gil) - that’s disappointing. But if you’re not performing cause you’re a lazy - well then you’re a cvnt. Tanguy is also on almost 3x Gio’s wage. F’you Tanguy! Hope you drown in a vat of mayonnaise.

At the very least, he's made himself more buyable and worth a few million more now.
At best, he's made himself a permanent option.

But be serious. It's 2 games and we've been here before.

I hear this point for sure.

The flashes of talent were never in question.

Do also think he’s reached his prime physically and looked much more physically suited to this league in both games. You don’t get more physical than that City team and he handled it well. Maybe the circumstances are just right this time. I fucking hope so.

Let's not re-write history..... He has been shocking a lot of the time..... Against some pretty weak teams too (domestic cups, Conference League and Europa League).
It takes a special breed of Levy-appointed manager to make him look like shit most of the time.

Conte brilliantly managed to make Bissouma look like dross. Fair play, no one else here could have achieved that.

For the 3rd time in 25 years Levy has failed to recruit an absolute turkey as manager, and - lo and behold - we get a tune out of our players!!!

I’ve seen this Barca team in person. Pedestrian didn’t cover it. Bang bang average. We don’t want any of the players they don’t want.

Tbf you're a huge Kulu fan and much of this you could've said about Juve and Kulu when they wanted rid, they were a shit, struggling team and he could barely get off their bench.

That Barca team is weirdly constructed as well, there is talent but it is heavily stacked in certain areas and lacking in certain attributes.

I guess that’s fair. I’m a massive Bentancur fan as well and they were happy for him to go too.

I don’t remember seeing that Juve team though or who they had.

It’s just tangible for me with Barca because I’ve seen them in person.

The only one that really stood out for me was the LB Balde.he’d be perfect to rotate with Udog.

Torres is a unit in person and could be a decent prem #9 I guess. Not up to much on the wing though.

Gavi didn’t play.

FDJ was bang average in the game.

Gundo, Felix and Raph looked decent off the bench but I wouldn’t want any part of their wages.

IMO, if Mou and Conte made mistakes, but if they had this squad they'd have done much much better than they did. They each showed promise for a while, but couldn't sustain it cos of a lack of player quality.

The step up from Dier to VDV alone is worth like 15 points over the course of the season.

Both of them would have been totally fucked without Kane.
Yes, but on balance this squad is much better than what Conte had and is in a different world to what Mourinho had. Vicario, VDV, Romero, Udogie, and Porro is such a massive upgrade on Mourinho's defensive choices in every single way.

Dier is so bad that Ange has decided to play Emerson in his place ffs.

No it wouldn't.

Just look at Sarr and Bissouma. Two players that were here but never trusted. Yet they were absolutely integral parts to our brilliant run of first 10 games.

Madders wouldn't have even got a chance under Conte and with surrendering the midfield AND playing low defense line, VDV wouldn't have been nearly as effective as he has been under Ange. Plus he was so miserable fucking waste of oxygen that Romero said he would have left if this cancer would have stayed with us. So... no.

For the exact same squad we have, we would have still been shit under Conte. So many so obvious indications of that all over the place.

Agree but, the footie was still shite for the most part.

We've looked better against Villa this season than we did last year with a similarish lineup.

Give Ange the team's Jose or Conte had and we still would have looked better than we did under those managers.

100% but Not reasons IMHO - One reason - Injury. Hopefully stays fit and silences his haters - on both this thread and out there in wider world.
No not just the one, Conte also made a year and a half of his time here absolutely pointless, GLC was deemed surplus t requirements and bombed out of the squad in favour of fielding the PEH/Skipp axis of evil...

Not going to lie, I enjoyed GLC's shithousery against Erling crymore Haaland, and his recent performances.

Not going to say we can't improve on him, but with Maddison out for a while, he's probably going to have an important role to play.

Hope his improvements continue and he continues to kick several shades of shit out of people.

If Conte was given this squad he'd be kicking off, ostracising half of them, telling us they are all shit, and loaning out/flogging anyone that had half an intent to play some actual football.
