He's clearly not a bad footballer in the sense of his actual abilities with a ball.

In his rare appearances for Spurs he tended to make an impact and usually looked good. He consistently delivers for Argentina.

Of course his fitness and lack of reliability make him a terrible squad member.

On that note, I'd like to send my greetings to lads who around last Xmas were making case about "it would take 40+ mil to replace Lo Celso ability" and "he should be granted run of starts so he could become certain starter" and "Lo Celso could be better than Maddisson" and so on and so on :D Just for him never to be used again and be frozen out of the squad by yet ANOTHER manager of ours :D .

He's a very average player with almost zero attributes to play EPL football. Terrible.
 
For a player with a reasonably large fee (£55m) split between an overly large loan fee and a transfer fee to suit Real Betis (to reduce amount payable to PSG) and wages of circa £100k he's produced virtually nothing at Spurs.

Its incredible that a player can only complete 90 mins in a PL match about 15 times in the 5 years he's been at Spurs due to a combination of being ineffective (so manager subs him off) and injuries (or that Argentina are playing in the next month or so and he needs to rest before these matches to ensure he's fit) and yet there are still some on TFC that think 'he just needs a run of games'.

If it wasn't for Ndombele's lack of effort to play football for Spurs, Lo Celso would probably have a poorer reputation.

A really bad buy : I just wish fans would give as much time to youngsters coming through as the likes of Lo Celso - Devine and Donley for example showed more effort playing preseason matches this summer than Lo Celso probably showed in his matches for Spurs, and probably as more technical ability than Lo Celso. ! And their fitness levels puts Lo Celso to shame

The irony of some of the posters who'll claim he's shit, yet also claim he's feigning injury until it's time to play for Argentina.

How gifted would a footballer have to be to avoid playing club football, and yet still be called upon by the Argentine national side?
 
Good footballer. Brittle. Creepy as fuck. If he hadn't been good at football he'd be living with his sister in that run-down, boarded-up house nobody wants to break into.

I'm joking, Bill. Just bored that the football doesn't start until Monday; bored that the transfer window hasn't shut so people are still talking about footballers who aren't coming to Spurs. A sensible me would take a break until Monday but I'm sat here looking after my father-in-law with nothing to do, so making a pointless Lo Celso post until the carers arrive and I can walk him back home.

I can’t wait for his next cameo when the usual jokers will put a highlight reel video together and tell us what a quality player he is. This board has many of them.
