No, I meant I didn't know Brobbey was trying to back out of the move to RBL.Yeah, it was announced on almost the same day.
No idea where the sporting director is going.

Oh that. Yeah, it broke over the weekend. No, I meant I didn't know Brobbey was trying to back out of the move to RBL.
Completely agree. 150 million is not realistic for a 28 year old.
Only United might be dumb enough.
What he's said is spot on actually, imvAh Micah Richards. Football intellect.
Quite like the chap but he's about as intelligent as Jamie o'hara
Pass the Vaseline please.

Can they get Haaland?I don’t think he is wrong though. For City to get Kane they would need to throw that sort of money, would they really do that if they could get Haaland.
There is some truth to this but I once again push back on the American-style "rebuilding" concept.
There's no well of future draft assets we could stockpile. We could just hang on to the money I guess, but that's probably not viable for a number of reasons.
We'd surely get younger, which we should do regardless, but if that squad slips to mid-table (or worse), there is no draft or cap space coming to save us.
It won’t bring the price down though. Not a chance will Levy sell Kane for much less than £150m
Yet he’s right...Ah Micah Richards. Football intellect.

I honestly don’t see how anyone who follows football seriously can be this naive.
Sorry but it’s like believing in Father Christmas.
(He doesn’t exist btw).
If we do that, more players would choose to run down their contracts like Eriksen and we’d get nothing in return.
That’s why a transfer request system exists, it’s a win win for both sides financially.
This is why it could get a bit unpleasant. The natural point at which Kane's valuation by Spurs and what a club like City will offer comes closer together next year, when he has two years left. That's why most observers thought next year he was far more likely to leave, this year the gap is too big between what a club will pay and what we will demand. To force through a move he's really going to have to create a lot if problems for the club, and if he isn't prepared to to do that, then why even go as far as leaking to Sky Sports he wants to leave. He's ended up pissing off people whilst probably having to stay another year. I don't think he's being well advised.
Where are we going to find top class players who want to join us for those sort of fees? Our recent record in that price range is Bergwijn, Sess, Aurier, Lucas, etc.We wouldn't waste it though.
Say we sold Kane, maybe Son and couple of others and had £250m this summer.
We could spend £30m on a striker, £20m odd each on 3 more players and have £160m left over to pay off the majority of the bank loan, and save on wages.

Micah Richards is a nice chap but I've no idea how he gets paid to be a pundit, seems so out of place. O'Hara on the other hand is a fucking moron, watching him is cringe inducingAh Micah Richards. Football intellect.

Him winding up Keane is hilarious. He's no Steven Hawking but I don't think he's that bad. I also think him and Roy Keane together are a great mix.
Brilliant - this should be carved in stone and put in a prominent place at the ground.I can't see how anyone doesn't recognize different possible responses here. Fair enough, you're not upset that he wants to go. Fine.
But I love Spurs. I loved Spurs before Kane came along, and I'll love them after. It'd be one thing if he was pushing for a move to Europe. But by all accounts, he wants to stay in the PL. Which is effectively saying: "I've given my all to trying to win with this club, but we weren't able to do it, so in the remaining years I have left, I want to give my all instead to a different club whose goal is (among other things) to ensure that my long-time club doesn't win." My view is: fuck that. Sorry.
And if someone gets tired of being a bridesmaid, fine. So they go off, to be a mercenary on a team of mercenaries, to hold up a trophy in front of fans who don't give a shit about you. That's one path. Another path is to stick with the club that's in your blood, in front of fans who worship you, who will build statues for you and sing your name, and if you don't win a trophy, there's a nobility to the effort the other mercenary path can never achieve. I admire that second path a hell of a lot more.
