Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

So you’re a Kane fanboy not a Spurs one then.

Delete your account and fuck off.

I want Enic out but I’m still Spurs first ahead of some misguided loyalty to individual players.

Time you fucked off to blue moon where you belong you plastic.

why don’t you fuck off!!! I refuse to back owners and a chairman that have continuously cut corners when it comes to on field investment. Harry Kane going is completely on them. If they had invested properly in the team, Harry Kane wouldn’t need to be moving as he would be playing for a club challenging all honours. ENIC and levy have used this club as a cash cow without any thought for real on field success, and him leaving is the final nail in the coffin. I’m not a Kane fanboy, but this will set us back 10 years: I don’t think any of you truly realise the ramifications of selling Kane will do to this club. That’s my choice not to invest anymore, not yours. So you can kindly fuck off yourself you little worm

Your points are all fine. It's your choice...will we see you around the forum less now?

I genuinely thought that this was visual representation of us signing a manager/striker.

Fuck off Sol Campbell or I’ll nut ya

Well Haaland has yet to prove himself in a top league of course, but he just has all the tools you would want in a world-class striker. I wouldn't have any worry about him going to England, Italy or Spain for a top club and scoring bucket fulls of goals. But it's why I've always rated Kane as highly as I do, and even higher than many Spurs fans. His record compares to Lewandowski's, that's despite him playing for a much worse side, with far worse players and in a much more difficult and taxing league. I know Lewandowski hasn't always played for Bayern but he's been there for 7 years now, and before that he played for a fantastic Dortmund side under Klopp. Both of those sides would hammer us.

I still think Werner will go on to score plenty of goals for Chelsea if they stick with him. He'll never be prolific in the shots to goals conversion sense though.
Admittedly I have only watched Haaland in about 10 full matches. He had has an unbelievable shot, a lot of pace, immense power, and great positioning. The world is clearly at his feet and his recent record shows he is top class already. However, if I was a Citeh or United fan, I would be a little careful in declaring him a guaranteed success. When I have watched him, I have been a little surprised by poor ball control and some questionable passing. On occasion, the ball will bounce off him in quite an ugly fashion. Also, especially in the bundesliga, he misses quite a few sitters from what I have seen. He is young of course so it is scary how good he could be (and his numbers) if he improves those areas of his game. He is very tall so maybe he won't improve his ball control.

Although I agree Haaland is better value for money and would be any sensible clubs first choice - there is 1 thing that people don't mention.

Kane has scored 165 Premier League goals over 7and a bit seasons.
Haaland has scored 38 Bundesliga goals over 2 seasons.

Werner scored 78 in 127 for RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga over 4 seasons - stick him in a high quality Chelsea team and he has 6 Premier League goals in 33 games.
Those goals in Germany don't automatically translate to Premier League goals.

Although I believe Haaland would score more goals than Werner here (has done it in the Champions League more then Werner did at RB), Kane is guaranteed Premier League goals.
There's no unknown quantity about him.

If for example, I were Pep and had the option to bring in Haaland or Kane for 1-2 years, no transfer fees, no salary or re sale value to worry about - I would pick Kane.
Haaland has only been at Dortmund for 1.5 seasons, so averaging 26 goals a season there.

He also is Champions League highest scorer this season, and was second highest last season despite most of those being scored with Salzburg.

Everything else being equal Haaland goes for way more money than Kane.

Very similar strike rate (Halland actually slightly better) in career, Haaland 7 years younger, so any suitor will have sell-on

Only thing Kane has which will inflate his price is a 3 year contract.

Absolute no-brainer that any club this summer that can afford Haaland or Kane would go for Haaland.
That is why I think Kane will still be with us against his will next season, we will price him out of a move

Yeh but it comes down to who. I was thinking with 3 years it would be 150m but I think even that Levy would go a bit higher. Unless the price is met nothing happens so who is going to do it.
It's all bluffing..
He'll say £170m
Buyer will say no.
Few weeks later buyer will say they're unwilling to go over £100m
Levy will say bye.
Gradually a buyer will offer more.
Levy then has to decide if he says say £110m now or £80m next year or £20m the year after.
You know he will take £110m
Hopefully he does the same we did in the Bale window and spends money upfront adding to the squad, rather than squabble about Kane all summer then get nothing in.

People thought back then all those signings would convince Bale to stay.
I expect a similar load of shenanigans this summer.

Seeing as he has a release clause of between 75m and 100m EUR triggered next summer, who is going to spend 150m this summer? I am not even sure BVB would accept that.

Agree with this but fuck me he can strike a ball

Kane goes, game over for me. Don’t want to watch him in any shirt in the prem next season and won’t be investing any more money in Spurs. Not sure Spurs fans realise how damaging this will be. People with their head in the sand and the bullshit of “we are Spurs and we will move on”, fuck off!!!! You are the problem. You should be spitting feathers at the board and Levy for letting this happen. Punish them where it matters, in their pockets. If they can’t be assed to invest and show our best player ambition, then why should we bother.
You can spit feathers and be cross and be angry and still recognise that Kane is ultimately a player and players come and go whether we like them to or not. They want new challenges throughout their short careers. Let's be honest, if the stories are to be believed, Kane has wanted to leave for a while now. Lack of trophies may be a convenient excuse. Who knows. Sometimes people just want change. I'm not happy by any stretch but I refuse to get my knickers in a twist over this because my loyalty lies with Tottenham, not Kane or ENIC. If Kane's interests lie elsewhere well then good luck to him.

So, in a nutshell, yes, we are Spurs and we will indeed move on.

P.S. I don't think he'll leave anyway.

Shhh we aren’t allowed to mention that. He was happy to sign on to a £200,000 a week (that’s £10.4 million a year before bonuses) contract for 6 years that makes sure his kids or grandkids never have to work a day in their lives. The club is doin him a favour. Not the other way round.

Unless there is a break clause make him stay another season Danny Boy like you did with Modrich!!

It’s a matter of other things though, so it’s not just Kane. It’s the zero spend that ridiculous summer. Not properly backing pochettino. Charging rocket high ticket prices with nothing to show for it. Lowest net spenders every season. Super league fiasco. Etc etc I’m anything but a Kane fanboy, even though he is by far one of our greatest premier league players of all time and him going hurts more than any player leaving. It’s the fact that ENIC and Levy have done so much damage to the fan base trust and the fact they never want to invest on the field properly, which is the reason why this has all come to a head. If you want to invest in Spurs that’s cool, but I won’t be investing in these pretenders in charge of our club anymore. Sick and tired of them.
