Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

What legacy though, really? If he stayed he might beat Greaves' record. Probably not, but there's a chance at least. So he'll have the adoration of most Spurs supporters. Big deal. It's nice, but it's now what footballers play football for. The best ones play to win things. Not just to win over a crowd. He isn't fucking Maximus.

Besides, there's clearly a small section of wankers who call themselves Tottenham fans that don't even rate him as highly as fans from other clubs do. Especially on here.

They exist within all cross-sections of society.... Hardly worth basing a stance/outlook/plan upon them.

Yeahhhhhhh boi

The thought of him sat in his office managing his ONE client, like Stephen Merchant's character in Extras, does amuse me. I wonder if Barry from Eastenders drops by from time to time to shoot the breeze?

But then, the thought that this guy probably has more in his bank account right now than I would have if you totted up my life's earnings, based solely on his brother being good at football, takes the shine of my amusement a little.

The Kane camp better know that City are going to come in behind him with one mother fucking big bid or he is stuck playing here with players and fans knowing he wants desperately to leave.

If City or even United are not then Kane is in trouble because not in a million years is Levy letting Kane go for 100m on a 3 year deal.

Mate, give it up...

He didn't turn up for scheduled tests that were a precursor to starting training, he would have been due for training today if they weren't necessary. So what makes you think he will turn up tomorrow? And even if he does then he will have to have the missed tests and then wouldn't be training until Wednesday, so on the off chance that this is the case then he still needs a bloody good excuse as to why he wasn't there today.

I understand that you want this all to be an innocent mix up, and why, but the writing's on the wall.

Give what up? I’m just stating the truth.
I have no idea whether he’ll turn up tomorrow, none of us do and that’s why I said if he doesn’t turn up tomorrow. I know he was due for tests today, I stated that in my post, I also said tomorrow will be more important than today and I stand by that. Starting a day late isn’t too much of an issue, but two, three or more is a problem.
I don’t ‘want’ it to be anything, I’m just not going to crucify the guy based on the word of Sky Sports. There may be a perfectly reasonable explanation for this or something going on with the club behind the scenes, but equally it may be exactly what it looks like. Time will tell.
As I also said earlier in the thread if this is a push for a move then he’s an idiot because the club can’t sell him if they don’t have a good offer. Last I heard was that there had been one pathetic offer early in the window and no interest since then. The club aren’t going to sell him if nobody will meet the price so going on strike if that’s what he’s doing just reflects really badly on him.

Elite reference.....

.......Some things money just can't buy. :dierpochhug:

Modric knew he was only staying for one final season for a start. Kane has just had his "Let's see what happens" season, and we were dog shit, even with someone in charge that has won as much as anyone in the game. You can't polish a turd.

I'm sure if Kane stays and plays he'll score goals. He's too good a player not to more than anything else. But some fans will turn on him the moment he's not producing what with what has gone on. Keeping an unhappy player that desperately wants out is rarely anything other than a clusterfuck.

If he wants to leave and City are willing to pay stupid money, then that's something we can grudgingly accept. But as you say, if Kane stays and plays, he will still score the goals because that's what he is, a top player.

Any transfer has to be on our terms, Harry wanting out isn't enough in and of itself. City have to show us the money or fuck off, and we'll keep our world-class number 9, happy or not.

Just as a little thought experiment, where do you draw the line yourself in terms of a fee? What if City say they won't pay more than £100m, would you take it?

For me, the fee has to be something in the region of £150m-£175m, it has to be absolutely extortionate. Goals are the most valuable thing in the game and Kane is coming off the back of a season where he scored the most and made the most in the Premier League. City have to be told to pay up big-time, or fuck off.

Kane not showing up to training doesn't put Tottenham under any pressure whatsoever.
OK. Just wait until games start getting lost. We'll sell him after we play City. And all the legacy fans up in here losing their shit are not in denial at all right? And they haven't been all summer right? So surely when points start getting dropped they will, as they always have, take it in stride, right? Kinda like they did with Mou and all the winning. Can't wait to see this no pressure atmosphere of which you speak.

But WE ARE NOT UNDER ANY PRESSURE TO SELL HIM BECAUSE HE HAS THREE YEARS LEFT ON HIS CONTRACT. He's fucked himself here.
Yup, just like all the other players in the history of free-agency professional sport that have been held against their will for the remaining 3 years of contracts. Gotcha.

Can't do the rest Guids. Too many words. If it takes you that many then perhaps your initial point is a weak one. We shall see jsut like we've seen with Dele. You put all your money on the notoriously patient and reasonable fanbase. I say that's a sound investment.

I don't think the club mind the rumours at all. I'm going to shout this for the melts:

THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS BAD PUBLICITY.

So all this speculation means people are talking about us, the best striker in the PL and whether or not he's staying. If he leaves (he won't), more money for us, if he goes then we're amazing and more fans will come to us. win-win.
And you try and tell that to Gylfi Sigurdsson and does he listen...does he hell.
