Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Much more like it today. Now he'll go on a run, I'm sure of it. He's done it before and will do it again. Whether you think he's world-class or below that, he's a quality player and form is and will always be temporary. Him and Son together looked more like the combo we know they can be in a more confident team.

My apologies to for my post to sammyspurs this morning. I was going to delete it but he responded pretty quickly to it and so had already saw it. It was said somewhat tongue in cheek (as are all my posts when it seems I'm raging) but it was daft at best.

No, not really.

1(?) goal against a top 4 club at the time of playing them since since the beginning of last season I think it was? Him scoring against Newcastle today doesn't change the fact that he struggles to perform against top sides. It's a statistical fact people like sammyspurs sammyspurs and I have posted about numerous times.

But... lets forget about that for now and not bring it up as Kane had a good performance against a PL team. Seriously, lets just enjoy this win.

But you're going to ramble on and on about it every time he doesn't score against one of the best clubs in Europe.
Performing against a good/top side is what differentiates average strikers from good/elite ones. So yes, I'd like to see Kane perform against the big 5 PL sides on a regular basis. We all should expect him to.

Again, good performance today from the likes of Kane and Ndombele who have been struggling this season.

Nobody is saying he shouldn't. But surely you don't need to repeat it every single time he scores. Even if he only ever scored against dog shit sides, he still has value to the team. There's plenty of strikers around who don't even do that.

Did you see the comment I was responding to? The comment I was responding to basically tried to discredit a post I made hours ago (before today's game) about Kane struggling in against top sides.

He's definitely tarnished his reputation. There's no getting away from that. I'm sure if he could go back and do things differently he would do that. But as long as he's performing and producing what we know he is capable of, because we see it season after season, he can slowly restore that. Albeit he will never be what he was to some. But when he's not producing and is out of form he's only made it harder for himself as people will be much less patient in standing by him, but he's done that to himself.

He is an employee and want him to perform week in week out, I don't curse him with every breath I take but he shat on us from a very long distance. No real ill will from me, but he certainly isn't one of our own.

Very few actually are. Players like Totti and Maldini are an absolute rarity. Gerrard also springs to mind, but let's not forget he very nearly signed for Chelsea.

But speaking for myself, the fact that Kane used to support Woolwich as a kid meant he was never one of our own more than anything else. But it's also worth noting that had we as a club been where we would like to be, he would never have wanted to leave in the first place, and this whole circus never happens.

Who are these big 5 PL sides?

I strongly felt he would play better today.

If he puts on our short I want him to do well.

For now that is as far it goes. Up to him to change minds.

No one but he can do it and of course now 1 goal closer to that insane Shearer number.
