Question, if Kane was not currently playing for Spurs would you sign him?
Not for silly money, no. But he's still a quality player despite his record over the last few months.

Question, if Kane was not currently playing for Spurs would you sign him?
Because by the time hes composed himself to have a shot, defenders/goalkeepers have already got in a good position to block it.
How? He still is incredibly slow when turning and has problems adjusting his body when the chances fall to him. A big reason why his finishing is poorer right now. Because by the time hes composed himself to have a shot, defenders/goalkeepers have already got in a good position to block it.
9 goals in his last 7 games.
Is that recent enough?
Scored today. Is that recent enough?
Striker has 2 weeks off and runs slightly faster than he did for 30 minutes. Groundbreaking stuff. The narrative he's physically done though has been shot to bits.
Oh its never been this bad. Maybe the decline has been slow enough that you have completely missed it. But look at the 16/17 Kane and this kane, theres a world of difference in their physical abilities. This kane has so much more trouble battling defenders, or keeping the ball when pressed. He's not quick or agile .. he's never been quick or agile, what Kane was everyone else watching over the years? He physically battled their defenders, came out on top a number of times, held the ball up well, on a few occasions actually burst past a defender and got a ball in.
Not every player has to be a pace merchant constantly looking for a run in behind. Kane playing the role of a more traditional CF helps Son who makes great runs which Kane always looks for. He pressed and harried today well, nothing wrong with him from a physical perspective unless you expect him to suddenly become a player he's NEVER been.

He still looked very slow and lethargic for majority of the game
He still hasn't beat a man, created a shot for himself or dribbled passed a player
He simply finished a nice through ball from Ndombele - thought admittedly, he took it well
I'm not interested in how he was playing last season, since it's no longer last season. Not for silly money, no. But he's still a quality player despite his record over the last few months.
It's already an issue, but it's one I have faith he will recover from, just like I knew other parts of his game which have looked awful this season would come back, and they have. He's slowly but surely improving, all the hallmarks are there of a player who was in shit form, not one who is done at the top level.
We know we can finish, we saw it season after season for years, it's not in doubt because of half a bad season.
Correct, but it's his first bad season so let's not be too harsh hey?I like to judge a player by his current performance rather than that from say 3 years ago.
What about what I said is nonsense?

How about today?
Eternal faith…I said 9 goals by May….will you give him another year
Really? He beat a man/dribbled passed a defender and got a shot off in the PL? A shot that wasn't blocked? I'm not talking about a shot from 20-30 yards.Almost everything, he didn't look lethargic at all (pressed very well, battled their centre backs effectively) and did beat his man on more than one occasion. Also created a shot for himself? Did that numerous times, not just today but in previous matches too.
The only true thing was that he's slow .. which he is and always has been.
