Yeah they are both better footballers but he had 2/3 years when he smashed in 30+ PL goals and could do it all. After that, agree he didn’t reach those levels due to injury but he was far more explosive than Kane at his peak.He's better than Alan Shearer ever ever was.
Lots of folk are not ready for this but lots of prime 90s British football was terrible with some truly awful sides. Alan Shearer scored goals brilliantly as a football he couldn't get near Kabe or Rooney
It’s nothing to do with the record and longevity, it’s those three years when he was probably the best striker in the world.
