Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

He's better than Alan Shearer ever ever was.

Lots of folk are not ready for this but lots of prime 90s British football was terrible with some truly awful sides. Alan Shearer scored goals brilliantly as a football he couldn't get near Kabe or Rooney
Yeah they are both better footballers but he had 2/3 years when he smashed in 30+ PL goals and could do it all. After that, agree he didn’t reach those levels due to injury but he was far more explosive than Kane at his peak.

It’s nothing to do with the record and longevity, it’s those three years when he was probably the best striker in the world.

Kane had a two and a half to three years when likewise he was the best centreforward on planet earth. I'm not calling Shearer crap or anything but he is not as good as Kane was at their respective peaks. I also agree the made up EPL nonsense is as empty as claiming Martas the World cups greatest goal scorer...🤨

Funny how league football has exclusive stats but UK cups, European, World Cup have historical stats. That’s why the Prem stats are a joke. If you support those fake stats, you’re complicit in lying too. Shame.

Nah I agree with you, I said it's selective.

Just think you getting wound up for no reason is quite funny, we should just give Kane his flowers regardless of some arbitrary stat, only 67 to go ;)

Listen sonny, I don’t need your patronising crapola. Learn to appreciate history rather than disregard it on an advertiser’s whim. You might find it important when you grow up.

He is not near either Kane Rooney or Greaves technically , I'm nit saying he was rubbish but this reductive he holds the record so must be the best is as bogus as he hasnt won anything so cant be great.

Shearer had supreme technique.

It's a shame that as the years have gone on and on, he seems to only be known as a goalscorer more than anything. When he was pretty much the perfect forward player. Could pass just as well as he could score. But it was a different game back then.

Hopefully Harry is remembered for a bit more than just his goals if that's all he has to his name at the end of it.

Reckon? The first 3 breakthrough years? I think he’s been steadily great throughout, definitely changed as a player but banged in goals and played well all the way thru

How old were you in 92-96? Honestly Shearer was an absolute blockbuster of a player. Anyway, the three of them were all brilliant players so theoretical debate

You might as well say we’ll just have records for the last thirty years and disregard the other 100+ years. Just re-write history. After all, it’s happening with other cultural activities. In fact, why don’t we lose all the Bill Nicholson era, the push and run etc etc. We only need debate the evah so speshul Premier League. Shame they don’t change the cup stats too as they change the name of them so often. The greatest (fill in sponsor name here) FA/League Cup scorer.
Yeah, that’ll work.
The return of sammy?

Just watching that montage you realise that he has hit some blockbusters, season after season, whereas some idiots think that he is a tap in merchant or just a penalty taker.
My personal favourite has to be the one against the goons where he rips his mask off.Just because it was against them; but mainly because I was in the Paxton for that game, he was right in front of me, and I knew that it was going in the second it left his foot.

Khm... Rooney?
10+ goals seasons?
Mid 30s?

Dafuq?

Last double digit season was 17-18 for Everton (he was 33).
Then in all comps he got over 10 in 15-16, but in EPL last double digit season was 14-15 (he was 30).

His career finished while being 33.
So you have to be confusing him with someone else.

Pretty sure that Kane at 33 is still at his peak, while Rooney was finished.
33 is almost mid 30s. I thought he was older than that but point still stands. At 33 Rooney still hit double digits. As did Lampard. And Shearer.

Nah I'm good actually, I think it's high time you faced reality and stopped living in the 1980s

Funny you've feel like I've patronised you yet you're response is a condescending pile of crap

You should perhaps learn where the quote button is as well :)

Old enough to have seen him live not even he thinks he was technically as good as Kane. I know he's thick but Shrewood played in the side with Shearer when they won the EPL and I asked him, he said at the time Kane was better. Not sure what he thinks over all but he did at the time.
