Uh, recouping a world record fee is slightly different than losing the player for nothing. It'll be tough, like it was when we lost our star man in Bale.

Then we're not speaking the same language here.
He's probably got 4 or so years left as an elite footballer and another 4 as a useful one. He doesn't need a club that can win a trophy next season, just one that can win one soonish. That's almost guaranteed not to happen at Spurs, which is a club going in the opposite direction at the end of a golden era. That makes Man Utd, Liverpool, and even Newcastle better options for him -- if they get stuck in a rut, they'll spend until they're out of it.Think he'll wanna stay in the UK and the only team guaranteed trophies is City and they won't want him.
Not sure any other club is as sure a thing as worth tarnishing what he has here.
United has been stuck in a rut and trying to spend their way out of it for a decade. If he wants to maybe win a cup, he could go there. I wouldn't go and expect more, though. He's probably got 4 or so years left as an elite footballer and another 4 as a useful one. Remind me, when exactly was this 'golden era '. It seems to have passed me by.Spurs, which is a club going in the opposite direction at the end of a golden era.
Fair point, but they seem to be getting stronger again at the moment. They seem to me to be only a couple of pieces away from serious contention. Kane would take them that much closer.United has been stuck in a rut and trying to spend their way out of it for a decade. If he wants to maybe win a cup, he could go there. You know exactly what I mean. Look at year-by-year results tables if you have to.Remind me, when exactly was this 'golden era '. It seems to have passed me by.
now that is an impressive record!
Quite so.United has been stuck in a rut and trying to spend their way out of it for a decade.
It’s all relative initRemind me, when exactly was this 'golden era '. It seems to have passed me by.
You are right. Using the Bale money, we ended up with Eriksen who was very important to our title challanges, and even Chadli and Lamela were useful players for a while.Uh, recouping a world record fee is slightly different than losing the player for nothing.
Don't know if he will go abroad for his hols, Kate is pregnant. Caravan on Canvey Island it is then![]()
Richards is rubbish. Wasted career, political hire.I had to be content on watching the day's action on BBC Results show, and had to put up with Keown as one of the pundits. They were discussing who was better out of Augero and Kane. You won't be surprised who Keown plumped for, but all credit to Dion Dublin who shut him down. He used the 'no trophies' argument to beat him with.
Same as Micah Richards. All I will say to that is my friends who know nothing about football know who Harry Kane is. I only know Richards since he became a pundit (and not a very good one, at that).
I hope H stays but wouldn't blame him if he moved on (unless he goes to the chavs or the goons).
Bet they will take him on a free if he bashes out another 30 next season. He can definitely play with Halaandwho can he go too where he will win the league ? only City are likly to win the league so that ship has sailed, so its most likely if he goes he wins a cup is that the sort of thing that counts ?
I was happy for him to leave a few seasons ago to join city, now city dont need him
