Think he'll wanna stay in the UK and the only team guaranteed trophies is City and they won't want him.

Not sure any other club is as sure a thing as worth tarnishing what he has here.
He's probably got 4 or so years left as an elite footballer and another 4 as a useful one. He doesn't need a club that can win a trophy next season, just one that can win one soonish. That's almost guaranteed not to happen at Spurs, which is a club going in the opposite direction at the end of a golden era. That makes Man Utd, Liverpool, and even Newcastle better options for him -- if they get stuck in a rut, they'll spend until they're out of it.

The only thing I think about when it comes to Kane signing a new deal is how crazy it'll be when he becomes the greatest player of all time to win nothing. I think that title will be beyond dispute for a long long time. I'm with the masses who say he'd be crazy to sign another contract, despite the admirable loyalty, but it seems that loving a football team makes you a bit crazy. :p

United has been stuck in a rut and trying to spend their way out of it for a decade. If he wants to maybe win a cup, he could go there. I wouldn't go and expect more, though.

Fair point, but they seem to be getting stronger again at the moment. They seem to me to be only a couple of pieces away from serious contention. Kane would take them that much closer.

Remind me, when exactly was this 'golden era '. It seems to have passed me by.
You know exactly what I mean. Look at year-by-year results tables if you have to.

(By the by, I was being bitterly sarcastic when I called it a golden era. It's just like England's '00s "golden generation", who also should've done far better.)

Other than trying to beat Shearer’s record, he wants to win a trophy (possibly he’d prefer to win it with us).

His style of play isn’t about pace, so I think he still has about 4 or 5 years left in him as a player in the top leagues.

If we can get JN and also sign 4 or 5 top players to improve the starting eleven, there is a chance of winning silverware next season, especially as we don’t have any games in Europe and the players have more time to rest between games. If we can achieve this, there’s hope of Kane signing a new contract with us. If he leaves us this summer, then that opportunity is gone.

With less games, a top manager / coach and an improved squad, we also have a better chance of getting top 4/5 next season, for a CL spot for the season after next.

He has, arguably, been our most important player for the best part of the last decade.

I really hope that he is part of our squad next season.

It’s now Levy’s (and the board’s) turn to show how much they’d want to keep Kane here.

I had to be content on watching the day's action on BBC Results show, and had to put up with Keown as one of the pundits. They were discussing who was better out of Augero and Kane. You won't be surprised who Keown plumped for, but all credit to Dion Dublin who shut him down. He used the 'no trophies' argument to beat him with.
Same as Micah Richards. All I will say to that is my friends who know nothing about football know who Harry Kane is. I only know Richards since he became a pundit (and not a very good one, at that).
I hope H stays but wouldn't blame him if he moved on (unless he goes to the chavs or the goons).
Richards is rubbish. Wasted career, political hire.

Keown is a numpty.

The whole, “No trophies” argument was used by Liverpool fans back in the day to suggest Carragher was better than King. Do they even watch football? It’s not an argument that should be used by a pundit… it’s a guy in the pub argument at best.

who can he go too where he will win the league ? only City are likly to win the league so that ship has sailed, so its most likely if he goes he wins a cup is that the sort of thing that counts ?

I was happy for him to leave a few seasons ago to join city, now city dont need him
