If he didn't play the fucking pass, the red card wouldn't have happened, it's as simple as that...and it was a very good ball.

Pressure = mistakes.
No dangerous pass; no fuck up.
Just like the multiple subs changed the dynamic of the game from us getting battered to us pressuring them; which subsequently led to not one but TWO red cards.
Cause & effect.
The degree that some resent even the mildest of praise to players they hate is SO sad and bitter.
This is the nonsense we have become. So now we have a bunch of folk invested in Winks being central to a Conte rival, just because it winds up the folk who after four long years of assessing the player don't rate him.
I want what's best for the team. I know that in the medium to long term that will not be Harry Winks, and any number of others. However if short term he helps us back up the league ill be very grateful.
It really is. Unable to just say 'he did well' because they harbour actual hatred towards one of our own players, simply for not being good enough. I don't rate Winks, I don't believe he's about to thrive under Conte, but the man himself? I have no issues with, and he did well vs Vitesse. If he proves me wrong and does well, amazing! Being proven wrong about a Spurs player you thought was never gonna make it is a great feeling.
But some people are just bitter and get abusive. Towards our own players. It's incredibly sad.
I haven't questioned the man himself. I haven't even said he was shit.
All I've said is that it's insanity to claim he had any influence on the game last night. It's even more insane to claim his pass got a player sent off.
It's completely unquantifiable, so many things had to happen after the basic long ball into space happened.
Stop abusing fellow Spurs fans, ENIC man
LMFAO - too clear nowThen I'm not talking about you, I'm talking about those who come up with weird nicknames for him, hurl insults just because he exists, and make up weird conspiracy theories just to hate him even more. And then when he comes on and does well enough (whether you think he changed the game or whatever) some can't bring themselves to do anything but hate further.
If you didn't think he played well, fine! Personally when he came on I think he showed a desire to be involved, played some nice passes, and was generally tidy. Nothing exceptional but worthy of a 'nice cameo' in my book. Certainly not worthy of more hate just because he was brought on. There's a weird level of malice on here from some that gets reserved for him.
I don't think anyone would melt if Winks started contributing to a successful team.Okay we will see, you're probably right but I'm here for the melties if Conte uses him and we start winning as a result![]()
"Winks & Sissoko" has become synonymous with shit. I mean it has to be a balance of the two.Pressure = mistakes.

From the same dictionary."Winks & Sissoko" has become synonymous with shit. Found this in the dictionary
Winks & Sissoko
(noun)
A footballer that is atrocious at football.
Example: "Harry Kane's performance this season has been atrocious. Might as well put Winks and Sissoko in there."
Lol that's a pretty good one. From the same dictionary.
NDomBadBoy
(noun)
Shit poster on a football forum, who can't see past their agenda.
Example: "Arcspace is such a great poster, you couldn't tell the difference if NDomBadBoy had posted."

Is that a website run byWinks got a 7 on Skeedafootball so should start against Everton
Skeeda
S.k.e.e…….:what do you mean “who”?
But its not just him. N'dombele and Kane trigger certain people beyond anything actually rational. Not a fan of Winks the player or the bloke (i have reasons ill not share) but I'm happy to have him here if short term he helps the team. Then I'm not talking about you, I'm talking about those who come up with weird nicknames for him, hurl insults just because he exists, and make up weird conspiracy theories just to hate him even more. Not happening, mate - according to some he’s going to be the lynchpin of Conte’s new quadruple-winning midfieldCan anyone with more tech knowledge than me post a gif of winks heading fresh air from last night?
It was a moment of comedy genius that we all miss when he is sold to qpr
As much as I don't rate Winks or many others for that matter, if conte turns him into a lynch pin of our midfield it would be the greatest comeback since jesus walking out of his tomb. Not happening, mate - according to some he’s going to be the lynchpin of Conte’s new quadruple-winning midfield
I mean it has to be a balance of the two.
Anyone thinking Harry Winks pass is so good that it forced the goalkeeper to get sent off is just wrong.
Anyone thinking Winks did nothing right is also wrong. The pass was a decent ball and nothing more.
Winks pass went to a dangerous area to a spurs player. There were a few positive outcomes from the pass... we possess the ball and break forward and score, we gain 50 yards of territory and then recycle the ball, OR something like goalkeeper charges like a mad man and gets a red. There's no denying that what happened ( the last option) has a low probability of occurring in that situation. It's an opponent mistake.
If Winks played that pass, and Emerson tripped over the ball and we got countered and scored on, that does not make the pass any better or worse. Winks only has control over the pass.
In addition, it does not matter who played the pass, it was a quality pass... however, in this instance, the result of the play was not equal to the value of the pass because of the opponent mistake which is low probability. It's like taking a 30 yard shot that goes through the keeper's legs.
A similar example of what I'm trying to say is N'Dombele's pass to Lo Celso. That pass was perfect for a scoring chance. N'Dombele made a great pass and it does not matter if the ball rolls under Lo Celso's foot or if Lo Celso scores or not. N'Dombele controlled what he could control and made the right play. That is why there are alternate statistics to goals and assists... like expected assists (which isn't perfect either because it's reliant on the receiver getting a shot off) or big chances created.
The result of the play is not always indicative of the action... but after enough positive actions, the results will balance out.
