Perhaps positionally he's asked to do something different for Conte rather than just sit in front of the back 4 like previous managers..... That would logically account for more movement from him; particularly as we're now playing a back 3/5 formation.
Regardless, lack of effort is what warrants criticism/cynicism; not the opposite.

It's not fantasy football Sammy you can't do 2 transfers a week. If you sell 6 players you will have the sum of the wages they were earning to pay new players - how are you going to get 8-10 better players on lower wages per player? ... make no mistake that's simply not possible.
We need upgrades but 2/3 max is all we will get, and that's only if we shift a few out.
