He has to stay, doing a fantastic job. who can ever tire of looking at woolwich fans glum faces, the entitled arrogance being masked with sad eyed dejection, I've had years of these gloating, arrogant know alls giving it verbals ( from behind a keyboard) and their slow decline to mid table is a joy to witness.

Airfixx Airfixx had it right yesterday, better to see them die slowly and keep with Lego man throwing shapes on the touch line than sack him.
 
One should be careful about what one wishes for. Back in 1996, there was a glee among Spurs fans when Bruce Rioch got sacked..... But we all know who replaced him (after 2 interim managers, Houston & Rice) and we all know what happened after that...
There was also a sense of glee when Lampard was sacked... and we all know who replaced him and we all know what happened after that...
Rumours are that Woolwich are looking at replacing Arteta with Antonio Conte...
So let's hope Arteta stays and does "just enough" to keep his job

The longer he stays the more long term damage it does to them.
Looking at their squad its weak as fuck but they do have a few very talented younger players, with a few quality signings in key areas to supplement the youth they could be back for challenging for Europa in no time.
So hopefully Arteta keeps it for as long as possible
 
I'd be very sad to see him go. They need to give the guy a chance - it's his first job, after all. Give him time to settle in and learn his trade. At least one more year. Then, and only then, if he starts to show signs of competence or success, sack the bastard.
