Fair enough, but he still has a better CL record than PSG or Juevntus, who are in the same type of leagues and have significantly more resources than Atletico. And even domestically, the fact that it is only 2 teams that he is competing against doesn't diminish his accomplishment of 2 league titles, given how far back Atletico are financially.
PSG in the CL is a head scratcher, it really is. They've gotta go for Zidane at some point

I get tired of posting this but Simeone earns €40 million a year, he's by far the highest paid coach in the world.

That's before you get to his mind-numbingly boring football.

I wouldn't worry; no-one suggested they wanted him. Nor did some fake ITK twat post anything linking him...... His name only came to pass as an example of a manager taking responsibility for bad runs of form.

He's literally Atletico. He saved them from the brink of relegation/bankruptcy, and in 4 years transformed them into the Champions of Spain and made the Champions League Final. Nobody mentions it because he's earned every single penny that he makes at that club.
Not denying he has done a superb job with them

It's more suprise that they can afford to pay wages like that

Thought all the teams in Spain not called Barca or Real Madrid were feeding off relative scraps

Tim Sherwood on Talksport now talking Spurs.

Joy of joys, can't wait to hear some stunning insight.

(Btw, for all the things Levy gets rightly destroyed for, the fact he hired that bloke full time based on a bit of good form is the worst. Incompetence at its most glaringly obvious, 5 minutes in a room with Tactics Tim and you'd know he doesn't have a fucking clue ... but Daniel thought he was worth giving the job.)

They don't pay their players as much. I think they have a similar wage structure to us, which is very strict. They'd rather pay the manager than pay a whole squad, and with good reason.
