You can see the same old few pathetic ones calling Son out at every posts, with always the same ridiculous words like toxic, useless, disgraceful, shit, loser. Fucking zero respect for Son at all.
He's our 5th all time goal scorer for the club, 5 more goals moving into 4th. Did those of you who like to give him so much sticks ever use your brains and think about how much of an achievement that is?
To put into context, George Best was 6th all time scorer for United, Giggs 8th. Ian Wright was 2nd for the scum at 185 goals which isn't far for Son to catch, vPersie was 8th at 132 goals wouldn't even make top 10 in our club. Owen was 9th, Fowler 7th, Gerrard 6th and Salah currently 4th for Liverpool. Imagine fans of these club calling these players the way some of our own called Son.
There is no doubt he's on the worse form of his life for us. But ffs there is no need for such (repeatedly) disrespectful names calling on him. Look at yourself into the mirror and be ashamed.

Same. I'll be honest, I am actually at the stage I hate to see him starting for us. He's come to symbolise the horrid state of our club nowadays. A weak cry baby who is well passed his best, plodding around, bottling 50/50s, and is just fucking shit nowadays, who has perfected doing a sad face after every shit performance he turns in and every loss he captains.
Son has been one bright spark for many years for us, but he is finished. And more the fool anyone who is clinging on to him. He's done for. He shouldn't be starting for us, and no surprise we are so shit when we field passengers like him still.
A top manager would come in, and bench him immediately. Not Ange though, he makes him captain. Ridiculous decision.
People need to stop clinging on to has beens, it's one of the reasons we are a pathetic team now. Relying on players like Son. Yeah he scores the odd goal, but it just papers over the cracks of how poor he is.

Nah. I have massive respect for Son, but he's been finished for 18 months and it's over. Yes he did brilliant things for us, it doesn't mean we still need to play him and he should be captain. People need to stop hanging on to the past. The club needs to be ruthless with people who can't perform any longer. We aren't a charity.
I want to see a top quality attacker playing in that position, not a past it Son. That's not being disrespectful. He's a shit captain and he's just shit nowadays full stop.
He'll still be one of my favourite players ever, but those times have gone.
I love Son. He is a legend even without silverware. For 10 years he has banged the goals in and done it against the best.
I feel though at this time it's not ideal having him as captain. I think he simply cares too much, and is an emotional guy. This coupled with his drop in form, which is due to 100s of long flights over the years and injuries / being overplayed this season so fatigue has crept in all top of the fact he is getting older. I think it's all getting to him and as captain he feels responsible, but yet in his current state he is not able to do much, which in turn is causing more frustration and knocking his confidence.
He is still a top player, yeah he might have lost pace, expected tbf, but you don't lose instincts and finishing. He needs a break to recover, and possibly if he agrees to step down from captain. It's not like he can't still be a massive player, but it just frees him a little from the heavy responsibility and may help him mentally to gain his form. Focus on himself more.. Everyone will still look up to him, but as he is so old we probably should be looking at appointing a younger captain soon anyway...
The way Liverpool get the best out of Salah should be something to be studied... Don't see Salah pressing too much or doing loads of running. Yet he is their best player and talisman. His finishing is fantastic still, which is exactly what Sonny could still do if we got the best out of him. If we could find a way like that for Son we could see similar results maybe ?
