Sounds like levy has been making promises again.
Hugo Lloris confirms he's thinking of leaving Tottenham Hotspur
Hugo Lloris has spoken to French newspaper L'Equipe at length for their Tuesday edition and
we've already covered him confirming there is no clause in his Tottenham Hotspur contract allowing him to leave the club if a certain figure is met, although he suggested he has some sort of understanding with Daniel Levy. L'Equipe sound very keen on talking up a Tottenham exit for Lloris and in truth they've never been thrilled that he signed for the London club. In France it was thought Lloris could do better and when Andre Villas Boas sent their national hero to the bench there was outrage, and much of that irritation is still apparent today. Add in that there's a lot of Woolwich appreciation in the French media and it's a recipe for Lloris exit rumours.
L'Equipe pushed Lloris on whether he's considering an exit and he was diplomatic and said "We do not know what can happen. There is one important thing: there is a time to think about yourself... but when that time is over and the season starts, you are fully involved in the club's project."
The French newspaper asked Lloris if the time to consider his future was now and he smiled and said "Voilà. But we cannot control everything."
It doesn't get much clearer that Lloris is considering his future and whether to leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer. He's been linked with moves to several clubs but didn't talk up that during the interview. When asked about leaving for an enormous fee, Lloris said "Honestly, that's a debate for the club. Nobody told me how much I am worth and I do not try to find out."
The Tottenham goalkeeper suggested that figures in the media relating to his potential transfer fee were perhaps put there to test the water, some kind of transfer marketing.
