Ex-Spurs Player Hugo Lloris

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Why would Lloris leave? I don't get it. We won't be selling to a club in the same league as ours, just like we didn't with Modric and we didn't with Bale.

He has no reason to go to Europe as most of the top clubs in Europe have better goalkeepers or loyal goalkeepers who have been solid jobs at their respective clubs for years and don't need replacing (Buffon at Juventus for example)

Fuck me you're right. I feel so stupid now for thinking hugo is leaving. Seeing him smile and saying hello to our fans.....yeah he is staying now isn't he.:walker-scream::walker-scream:

It's because Hugo is a model professional whether he is staying or going he puts in 100%

3 years stood behind some horrendous defending at times and he has just got on with it - a dying art

Hope we somehow manage to keep him

You say somehow like he's actually received an offer. Has anyone worthwhile bid for him? Probably not.

It's early yet, let's see what De Gea does first that will cause the merry go round to start, like you I hope nobody does bid for him if they don't - their loss!
and Man Utd won't be signing Lloris.

So who else is going to go for him? All the best clubs in Europe have goalkeepers who are either better or no point upgrading on.

I think it will be a massive coup this summer if we retain both Lloris and Vertonghen, but i can't see it happening. he is 28 and the same goes for Vertonghen who has 1 year left on his contract. The past 3 years was our 'window' with these players. It is inevitable they will want to win a big trophy with not many years remaining in their career. They have both remained professional under 3 managers and a lot of change.so i cannot fault them for leaving.
At the end of the day we need a consistent back 4, Vorm is a good enough keeper.I am hoping for something more ambitious than Wimmer and Dier in central defence.
