Ex-Spurs Player Hugo Lloris

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Am I the only one thinking this, but what's wrong with him this season? seems like a mistake waiting to happen at times, don't feel as confident with him in goal as years gone by

He’s been mediocre, but I think Pochettino is trying to plagiarise Pep by asking for too much footwork from his keeper and he looks uncomfortable with it.

He’s no longer irreplaceable (Jack Butland would be my choice) and could probably command a decent fee given PSG would be a suitor.

He’s a quality keeper. My only issue is his insistence on putting his defenders in the shit. He doesn’t seem to know when to just put his foot through it.

I get that Poch wants us to play out from the back but Lloris’ decision making as to when he shouldn’t do that is terrible.

Wouldn’t want to replace him though!

Had a howler today.

I guess it’s best to have one today and not in Turin.

He did also make a very decent save too and managed to recover a disastrous header back from Rose.

I am prepared to give Lloris a little bit of benefit on the first goal due to the speed of the shot, but if that was a last minute equaliser I'm not sure I would be so magnanimous..

I am not sure that Hugo has got worse or that a number of things have happened. Opposing teams know his distribution can be taken advantage of at times and the standard of other keepers has gone up. I think the arrival of Ederson has created a new standard of sweeper keeper. Add in to the mix we aren't playing with Toby or Victor and our defence is changing from game to game, which I think is leading to us letting a few more in than last season.

I think in the longer term we might need to replace Hugo but also he's not our biggest problem to solve by some margin. I would say that the big things for us are to find a long term replacement for Dembele, a strong alternative to Kane, should be get injured and probably a new left back.

In both the goals conceded yesterday you can say Lloris might have done better, but there are areas where we could have marked better and closed play down too. I am not ready to write him off yet.

If he'd did what Begovic did yesterday I'd worry...

We need to allow him to sometimes punt the ball upfield. It’s extreemtl difficult to always play out from the abc and it often puts us under unnecessary pressure.

Talk of looking for a replacement is crazy
Fantastic goalkeeper who has been below his usual high standards at times this season but still wouldnt want anyone else in the sticks for us

Didn't know he had a brother who was a footballer, Gautier Lloris - Wikipedia Gautier Lloris, he's a Centre Back contracted to Nice, who's just been loaned out to Gazelec Ajaccio a League 2 side.

He's definitely been practicing his distribution. It's been solid for a while now.

You'll still get people shout out though when he does misplace a back pass. But it happens. De Gea done the same at the end of the game last night and he's one of the best.
