Ex-Spurs Player Hugo Lloris

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Looking at some of his recent matches, he's started going for Hollywood saves, rather than just simply turning the ball away into a safe area.

The first one today, I'm at a loss with both his efforts, but the first one, he's actually in position for it and then chooses to push it back into play rather than wide. The punch? That's simply unexplainable.

Guess this is Hugo. Saves us so often, but when he fucks up, it's normally epic.
I’ll ask again, when did he last save us?

Without him we lose by 5/6 against Southampton.

He had a world class save against Watford to give us the 1-0 win

Against Southampton again, IIRC Che adams banger

League cup against spam, Save after quality save

He's to blame for goals this game. There is no but in that.

To answer the Winks apologist in Winks thread. Lloris is irreplaceable because his back up is much worse. And Lloris for his fault in this and that games, he saved us more than mess up. Same can't be said about someone like Winks. Where are Winks impact in saving us points, winning games? Apple and orange comparison.

Lloris played a shit ball to Davies but how is he more responsible for that than Davies? Davies can kick it out of play and instead gives it up to the opponent 35 yards from goal with a spread out defensive shape.

Shared responsibility with that pass. Lloris added unnecessary nervousness on nervy Davies.

When you choose this risky route of playing out at the back against opponent pressing, every link of the chain has to be functional. Lloris ridding the ball with a pass like that held part of blame. IMO Davies is more to blame.

he turns into a clown when he has clowns in front of him. when you got little harry winks in midfield youll suffer, then you got donkey davison. all this combines to create pressure on the other players and you get hugo losing his head and making fucking dumb mistakes.

Yea he had a bad game today, but even if he was on point we still would've lost today. Seeing some turn on Hugo for his one poor performance in a long while is a bit perplexing.

The issues stem from the defense and midfield, doesn't matter how great our GK is if we're just going to open ourselves up to shots time and time again.

He's let in several soft goals this season, TBF.

Not turning on him, though in full disclosure I've been down on him since the drink driving. But he's been below his standard plenty this season.

This is by no means his best season but I do think he's still right up there with the best in the league overall.

And you're right, he has let in some very soft goals, for me personally though those get balanced out by some of the amazing saves he's pulled of this season as well.

Today was the first game in a long time that I actually recall him being very poor. But even then there was a lot wrong with the squad today.

No confidence in Lloris and that has been the case for a long time.
His distribution is very poor and his kicking is schoolboy.
He causes chaos at every set piece and looks very close to a breakdown.
No wonder we are shit this man is meant to lead the team
There are far bigger issues at spurs than Hugo. I genuinely don’t think that his leadership is the reason why we’ve been utter shite the last two games.

Had a complete shocker, and it’s fair to pin it on him as conceding after 6 minutes because of his howler immediately changes however the rest of the game would’ve looked. That he was partly culpable for the second as we’ll compounds the issue.

However, no way does he deserve some of the, frankly, wrong comments about him taking place here. He has been playing to a high standard for a good couple of seasons and generally cut the errors out of a game. This was an anomaly and as angry as it is to see any player screw up like that, he’s one player who deserves a bit of slack.

The sarcastic cheers when he caught a ball later in the guest half said more about our crowd than it did about him.
