These contract have been given to several players, not only those who left.
The bumper year ones? If so, I stand corrected.
Modric, Bale, (Walker?), Kane and Lloris have all had them I think, arguably at the time our best players.

He didn't I'm sure, but quite sure Harry Kane and Nabil Bentaleb (as examples) will be given new contracts on a frequent basis, just like Danny Rose and Kyle Walker for instance before them.
For the record all 4 of these players have signed contracts - long term. Are we selling them all?
Our players seem to constantly sign new 5 year deals. It doesnt mean anything. Any time one of them wants a raise, they have to sign a new deal. By signing a 5 year deal you get maximum compensation if the player is sold. You wouldn't give someone a raise but leave them with a year left on the contract, because then they'd leave for free and you've lost even more on their wages. The bumper year ones? If so, I stand corrected.

Its got nothing to do with the new stadium. Im using your conspiracy theory attitude with ENIC over that particular issue to get in a mildly amusing and somewhat obvious dig at your expense.
Yeah, I do. I dont think their first thought, when a player signs a new deal is "wooohooo. we can sell him next week for maximum value" That's not to say he will be here next season. we may well get an offer for him that cant be turned down(cos every player has a price). If we do, and he goes, so be it.I guess you must think ENIC genuinely believe (and hope) Lloris is here until 2020 then. Fine.
well, I don't have any special information other than that in the new stadium thread. We did win that planning dispute. You know, the one where you said it wouldnt surprise you if ENIC were secretly funding the case against us. We have done a couple of the enabling developments as well (the technical college and the offices/supermarket). Doesnt surprise me they got done first. All to often, people complete the main build and then weasle out of the enabling developments. I would bet that the S106 document specified that certain things had to be done before the main build could start.Anyway, as you mention the new stadium, have you got some update for us. When the planning design was released in 2008, summer 2014 was the expected opening date. And that was playing on the safe side. If you have some info FFS share it out

Don't understand why people need Lloris actual quote. If he say he wants to leave publicly, it will jeopardize the club position when negotiating a transfer fee.
If anyone believes it's just a everyday rumour, why does Poch even need to address it?
He's a Spurs supporter and only telling it like it is. We have been a selling club for a long time now, Sheringham, Klinnsmann, Berbatov, Keane, Modric, Bale, Carrick. This one spooky at the metro is going to get his head kicked in, I'll tell you m8!![]()
Or we might sign a few of his mates in the french team and he thinks "well i was going to leave but i don't fancy leaving now"
It makes a mockery of the notion that Spurs are better off without CL football.
Top players want to be in it. Its our target, and has been for the last 8 years. We've managed it once and its cost us 3 world class players.
The 4th is on his way out this summer.
We dont have time for 4 fucking transitional seasons on the spin Im afraid.

Why, have you somewhere to go to?
It could be argued that every season for every club is a transition from the previous season to the next one?
