I know I'm a simple man but what has any of this got to do with what was being talked about, that you were blaming last season on Frank being useless?
That because we lost 22 games last year, he was on a hiding to nothing?
That's what I disagree with and you've replied with a lot of words that say nothing about that.
First you accuse me of "straw-manning" and now you're throwing up smoke and mirrors to avoid what I was quite simply stating.
Frank started this season with a (mainly) fit squad, new signings and a full pre-season, so how has where we are now got anything to do with our final league position last season, a season in which we completed in both domestic cups and actually won a European trophy?
It does seem like he's already lost he squad because when all the rumours come out like they have today, it's normally being leaked by someone.I’d rather Dyche too, but I’d rather anyone than Tudor.
If Tudor stays we’re definitely down IMHO.
this team with a prime kane OR son in it would probably stay up and this is the worst team i've had the displeasure of seeing represent us. anyway, i'm judging mason on what he's done since he left us which is very little. our bunch of prima donnas won't respect him and won't put the effort in. if mason joins we're going down imo. hope i'm wrong but just can't see him keeping us up if he does join.Did he?
That Jose squad wasn’t wonderful
Whatever was left fit in Stellini wasn’t up to much either. Remember that Newcastle away game?
Son was injured for 4 of the 6 in the 2023 spell post Stellini
Kane was half fit and missed 2 games in the 2021 stint
Oh, sorry, I didn't realise it was a private conversation."you" weren't saying anything. You jumped into a reply that didn't involve anything you said and started trying to win an argument that wasn't being made. Quite simple, really
We went from 1 PPG to 1.17 PPG under Mason from Stellini and we sacked Jose in 7th and finished 7th under Mason.
These are extremely small levels of improvement and that applied relatively probably wouldn’t see us stay up.
Really? How old are you because some of us have seen something much worse!and this is the worst team i've had the displeasure of seeing represent us.
Jose win% in the pl that season was 43% and we’d been on the slide big time. We’d been top earlier in the Season.
Mason had 57% win rate when he took over.
Stellini had a 25% win rate, including that Newcastle game…
Mason had 35% win rate to end the season.
They aren’t mind bending improvements but they aren’t completely insignificant. He knows the players and he’d pick them in their right positions. He had a good bounce to start life at WBA . A bounce is all we need
er, no. this bunch of players think they should be playing for real madrid when in reality their level of performance and effort would suggest southampton if they're lucky. so many ass hats playing for the club. hard for a manager to get a tune out of them but i agree vinai and lange are awful and are mainly to blame for our current plight. i've been supporting spurs since 1990 and this is easily the worst side i've seen since then. no fight, no guts, shit players.Really? How old are you because some of us have seen something much worse!
I don't actually think that ability wise, this squad is particularly bad but it's disjointed, disheartened and has been failed by those in charge.
We're making them look bad.

Tudor has had 4 gamesStellini managed us for 4 whole games. Judging him by win percentage is a bit off, it’s a miniscule sample size and it’s coloured by our weird decision to get rid of conte (who turned toxic) with his assistant.
I don’t really recall what anyone would describe as a “bounce” either time and I don’t think anyone on here does either. It was respectably mediocre both times with a very slight uptick in performances & results.
The situation now is far more dire and difficult to navigate.
Losing in the Premier league became acceptable under his tenure and we currently haven't found a solution.Again this nothing more than a logical fallacy built to fit a narrative you want to will into existence - there's simply no evidence base for it at all.
Occam's Razor - the team has performed badly in the league for two years because a) we've suffered an unprecedented injury crisis and b) the squad thin on elite talent having been degraded over the last 10 years but particularly since Kane and Son left without being properly replaced with similar elite talent.
When you combine those with an uninspiring manager and a collapse in team belief you get where we are now.
It really is as simple as that. As has been proven. Everything else is just pathetic cope.
Blaming the manager who won us a Trophy (and made the semi-finals of the League Cup) for our travails this season is utterly ridiculous. THere's loads of people to blame - Postecoglou has nothing to do with it. We sacked him, remember?
tudor has done absolutely naff all. nothing. nada. he hasn't improved one aspect of our play or brought any confidence to the side. 3 at the back with porro as one of the back 3?!?!? wtf!! if he stays we're going down. convinced of it. i agree there are no stand out names to replace him but if i was vinai and wasn't such a twat i'd be begging redknapp to try and save us. last roll of the dice time.I don’t think Tudor should be sacked yet nor do I think it’s fair to judge Tudor overly harshly on the utter shitshow he’s been handed, and finally I am not convinced that any of the names bandied about achieve much of anything with the current state of the side.
We haven’t seen a bounce from him. It’s a horrible position for anyone, but for me, we have to roll the dice again. I don’t see where the next win is coming from under Tudor.I don’t think Tudor should be sacked yet nor do I think it’s fair to judge Tudor overly harshly on the utter shitshow he’s been handed, and finally I am not convinced that any of the names bandied about achieve much of anything with the current state of the side.
I do still believe we can stay up - the fixtures after Liverpool are reasonable and if we beat Forest at home the jobs halfway done. It’s not some impossible task. I obviously don’t think the squad is as good as you do, but I don’t think it’s any worse than West Ham’s at all, we’ve just got a totally crushed spirit at the absolute worst time combined with a sort of sense that the penny hasn’t dropped like it has for forest or West Ham.

Of course he isn't to blame for this season...its Thomas Frank and the boards failure of not being able to fix the issues that were so evident under Postecoglous reign.
To be fair to Frank or his coach he did fix the set peice issue.
