De Zerbi is not taking the job. Maybe for next season if in the PL but can't see him joining now with little time to do anything. We may as well put Romero in charge. At least he might play for himself.
He'd play himself upfront.
And tbh, probably better than Solanke there.
I wish him nothing but good luck in whatever he does next. It was an impossible job and I think he tried his very best, but we need a miracle worker at this stage. The players have to take their share of responsibility on why it's gone so wrong.

Combine that with some of our youth players returning like Lankshear, Philips, Devine and Moore and we could have the spine of a reasonable team for the Champo.
I’d got my hopes back up after the pool and Madrid games and that was popped instantly after Sunday’s capitulation.
I think I’m going to look glass half full at dropping down and getting rid of the bad eggs, a hard reset etc. and PL survival would be a very nice bonus.
I would much rather watch Tottenham with Lankshear, Phillips, Devine, Donley, Moore, Scarlett etc in Championship than watching Kolo Muani, Romero, Bentancur, VDV and many other "heroes" from this season in EPL.
Yeah, I've not particularly enjoyed this new era of signing club record superstars who can go two seasons shuffling around the pitch with apathy

And we are in dire circumstances right now, De Zerbi (like him or loathe him) is an excellent coach and the best on the market right now.
So it could well be the plan goes out the window in favour of a new plan that secures our premier league future and offers stability (if only until summer 27)

I dont know if this is a joke but 100%. I'm calling for the squad to vote on a player manager - maybe even the bloody starting 11. Boost their adrenaline and put accountability fully on them. Maybe they'll actually work for eachother. They ain't doing it for anyone else!

I’m no fan of Frank but he probably would have got more points. We made a mistake appointing Tudor, he has tried to bring Serie A tactics to the PL and it’s failed horribly.
I imagine we will try for De Zerbi and if not him then Mason. I don’t want us going after old heads like Redknapp and Sherwood, they are too long out of the game and can’t relate to these players. Mason with Defoe as his assistant would be acceptable at this point.
