These Bots are getting better...mind of their own?I am not a bot.
I base that what I wrote above on the fact that Spanish/South American players Tottenham has are clearly not putting in much of an effort when playing in England for Tottenham. Look at this situation.
Notice there how they are basically not defending when playing in England for Tottenham. Palhinha had to defend both defenders there in that instance. How Spanish/South American players do internationally when playing for Spain, Brazil, Argentina is a totally different matter that is not relevant for Tottenham. Turkish footballers, in contrast, are perhaps much more likely to have a die-hard attitude when playing in England and for Tottenham. Which is very, very important.
Here are other instances of Porro and Romero playing in a compromised fashion and manner:
Player - Pedro Porro
I've always liked Pedro, but Saturday was a total disaster for him. Hopefully it's a one-off and all will be well going forward. He was not very good in the first half vs City either - Marmoush was running rings around him.thefightingcock.co.uk
Romero was also at fault for the Bournemouth goal that was scored by another South American international. To me that didn't look like a very committed, uncompromised attempt to make a block:
IDK, but it is possible that Turkish players may prove to be much better players that are committed to the club and willing to work hard in their roles.
I think it would be a good idea for Tottenham to contact Mourinho, perhaps, and ask for his opinions about Turkish left backs, right backs and what not. Hopefully the club has maintained good relations with him. But it would, of course, be more optimal for the club to make such scouting by its own self and in secret.

Mixed feelings in this. I get that many of these games are excruciating, but arbitrarily splitting countries based on a ranking feels a bit 'Superleaguey' to me.In my own response, I woud rather see two World Cups, one for countries ranked at a certain point from 1 to whatever in their respective continents , or for countries below it to be part of a qualification group around the world for countries ranked from number 'X' with the top 4 going through to the World cup proper or into a play-off, with the lowest ranked from the top pool.
Something has to change.
