Looks like a freak goal. Not necessarily a product of some sort of a great skill. He didn't even appear to bend the ball much and to score from that angle is kinda rare. But, yes, good strike. Tel is right footed. I mean, to take a shot from that position with his left foot is something. And to hit it so well and precisely is also something. So it's like something something. lol

I am statistically trained and happen to have some databases in my files. But not regarding football. I do happen to have one database that is related to sports but that one is about NBA basketball. I developed it a couple of years ago out of curiosity and for the purposes of insight during the NBA season.

I disagree regarding Tel. That shot-taking can be a sign of him being headless. At that age one hopes to see fundamental, sound skills in terms of positioning, ball control, composure, technical expertise, passing, vision and then such goal-scoring too for strikers/offensive players (and certain physical properties in terms of running, speed, etc.). That shot means nothing.
That can be a curious thing. There are many players who are headless and who can achieve certain kinds of individual success while being engulfed in such headlessness. They grow up like that playing "in their own heads" and "in their own worlds." Putting their head down and just doing their own thing when obtaining the ball in certain positions. But such players have great problems developing solid careers at great clubs because playing for big clubs requires control and following very particular patterns and systems of play. Players must know how to exhibit and utilize their skills within those patterns and systems of play. Many, many struggle with that.
There are no great football coaches who would want put Tel into their lineup so that he would take that shot from that position with his left foot. Salah could take such shots with his left foot. Salah is the best Premier League player and one of the best players in the world who also happens to be left footed. But even Salah doesn't take such shots all the time. He looks for other options. Salah also creates many assists. Had 29 goals and 18 assists last season. Led the league in goals and in assists.
The sad thing with these U21 squads is that they are full of young and selfish players who all seek to make news and score goals with any opportunity they get. Many of hem go on the pitch to shoot at first and at any and every opportunity.

Here is another instance of Tel taking a shot with his left foot. I suppose that as a youngster he was encouraged to shoot with both of his feet because he was told that was a good thing. Notice how he hit this ball in this instance. In the same sort of a very powerful way absent giving the ball any obvious spin to indicate he was seeking to place it in a particular corner or side of the net. Very similar to the above shot he made for the French U21 side.
It would have actually been much, much better if he had made this shot than the one above. Or at least put this shot ON TARGET.
Overall, he doesn't at all seem ready to play in the Premier League. And it is very, very curious indeed that he arrived to the Premier League *ON LOAN* from Bundesliga which is a much, much weaker league. In my opinion and from what I have seen and noticed that was a pretty terrible acquisition by Tottenham and a sign, I guess, of the sort of transfer work Tottenham has been doing over the last many/several years.
This last transfer window I see as an exception for Tottenham. The players brought in during this Summer were in my opinion all good and even more than solid acquisitions. Frankly, I was rather surprised to see Tottenham have such a strong transfer window this past Summer.

** Players are generally and nearly always sent ON LOAN to weaker sides and to weaker leagues so that they would get playing time. There can be exceptions when very big clubs with many expensive players send particular out-of-favour but still potentially very solid and good players to other clubs so that they could spend a season playing football as opposed to fighting it out for a relatively small amount of minutes at their own club. Like with Kolo Muani who is a PSG player on loan to Tottenham because Tottenham has qualified for the Champions league. So that Tottenham can this season enjoy an opportunity of having an experienced striker in the squad who will look to get himself called up by the French national side for the upcoming World Cup. Good and solid and proven strikers (absent injuries or age/commitment issues) are usually extremely hard to obtain during any transfer window.
