Player James Maddison

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Has he done enough though? You look at the likes of eze, palmer,Bellingham, foden in those creative midfield positions already and you have to say overall probably not. I'd certainly take eze ahead of him now.
My response was to the poster who said he’d been ‘shocking lately’.

As to whether eze is better than him, that’s another discussion.

Eze is a slightly different player, more of a ball carrier whereas I see Maddison as playmaker. Eze is in great form, I love him as a player.

He’s disappointed me tbh, after a great start, he fell away and ultimately it’s been a bit of a nothing season for him.

He has all the tools to be a top player. But not the consistency and resilience. Next year is a big one for him, he should be in his prime years now. We need to see it every week.

Was very excited about him, thought it made sense as a signing and his first few months were great.

The injury turned everything - I wonder if he is still carrying a knock, as he seems afraid to get stuck in. He seems a bit lightweight to me and his creativity isn't consistent. I hope he gets back on it next season because when he's on form he's vital to how we play.

He ended the season strongly. City was his best game since before his injury. And he made a great run for his assist on the final day.

Hopefully he can stay competitive in the England camp if he makes the cut, gets a decent rest and pre season following it and hits next season strong.

Maddison. Sarr. Bissouma. Kulusevski. Others.
You're all looking at the players to explain why they seemed to start the season so well but end it so badly.

Looking in the wrong direction IMO.
