Really, truly don't understand the lack of perspective on this player. I am not familiar with Ange's work but from comments here it seems this guy expects high levels of work when out of possession. That is NOT Maddison. Nor does this player have ANY press resistance, no ability to withstand pressure with the ball, and is another 1 footing marvel. And beyond that, he disappears for long stretches of games AND the season.
But jsut because he gets on MOTD every now and again folks are tripping over themselves to laud another picking of the relegation carcass for a player not fitting the new coaches tactics. This was another money move and not a strategic play suggestive of turning the corner administratively.
My biggest problem with it is that he will score the odd worldie and that will mean he is W O R L D C L A S S to most of the folks on this board no matter what shit he serves us up in between. And those goals will keep the morons sweet until the end of his contract...or when he sustains an injury that they can pin their most recent 'miss' on.
And he's got a big ass forehead!

I think Stevie Nichol is a mailing-it-in moron but he's not wrong here.Stevie Nichols on ESPN FC said tonight that Maddison will fit right in at Spurs because he is the kind of mid player who looks good when things are going well but disappears when things aren't.... just like the rest of the Spurs players. And that's why no big clubs like City or Liverpool went for him. He's fundamentally not a winner and that's why Leicester got relegated and mid-table Spurs are his level.
Absolutely, back to the future whre we can again be one of the few 'top teams' playing with a 10...and we'll still be trying it 5 years from now.Fills a gaping hole that has been left in the squad since Eriksen’s departure , buuuuut, we’ve signed him about 5 years too late for my liking. He should have been bought, loaned out and then he could’ve stepped into Eriksen’s shoes.
Can’t argue with the price but this transfer is another symbol of the 4 years we’ve wasted going away from what made us good.
...bet your life on it!!!!Maddison's arrival could easily see a positive reation from Kulusevski,
Could just be that the happy clappers are always looking for a circle jerk to join into...hope you found relief.Again where are the detractors? Amazing how they only surface when it suits their agenda.
