Can't expect him to be happy, but would prefer him to act like he wants to get us into the CL. If someone said that the non-native players don't want to play the same for Sherwood, I wouldn't be surprised - but I'd expect them to still accept it's not likely to be forever and it's odds on that next season will be better.

I think everyone (except one guy) agrees.

To be honest, he should be more professional, but it's perhaps that he's pissed off for the same reason we all are. I gather that he came to the club to work with AVB and the project. He did well last year despite the odd mumble at being LB for a bit, but looked happy and enthusiastic.

This year I guess he's either decided he's ready to go, or he's upset that the reason why he came is no longer in existence (be it AVB or the dream of CL & top 4 etc.).

What these players have to understand, should that be the case, is that we are going through the same thing (except we're not living the dream), and it's damn annoying to know that their performances are intrinsic to our performance as a team, so they can collectively do damn well better so they should stop looking so glum and pull their fingers out.

I'm worried that they won't want to do it for Tim in an effort to ensure they get a manager to match their ambitions in the summer :/

Maybe! But DL is a business man first and for most. And if City or Chelski (who I forgot to list) want him, then I think they will get the defender. Defender being the poignant word.
