People might hate me for saying this but... I really don't want Bony. Buying him would be the worst thing for Kane's development, as both should be played in the centre. A great player, for sure, but he doesn't reek of versatility to me.

Amen....they can hate you all they want...at the end of the day Kane is better, so why sign a worse player than we have, to start ahead of him?

We need a striker no doubt, but we need something different, like a Chicarito type, who just get on the end of things and scores tap ins and headers...Soldado was meant to be that.

Its Soldado that needs replacing, not Kane.

A few good performances recently and I am sure Poch and us Spurs must now be looking like an attractive option for some players this window, a club on the up. Hope Poch gets to buy and sell who he wants, we look quite close to a well rounded team.

We're projecting the image of a happy club with a healthy dressing room too. Doesn't look to me like Woolwich or Liverpool are a bunch of happy campers.

Tricky window for Spurs now.

They have a young striker in the form of his life who should be given 90 minutes every week, yet we're short of strikers and it's naive to think Kane can survive the rest of the season without needing a break or suffering a minor injury. Do we then rely on Soldado or do the club sign someone in this window, who's happy to play second/third fiddle?

I think the club should look for a prospect of a striker, someone who isn't signed to play straight away but if necessary can fill in when injuries strike. I don't see the point of suggesting names, but I think they might be thinking the same thing, hence our apparent interest in this young Argentinian striker we've been linked with.

Exactly footballers are human beings like me and you. If a club looks like it's playing good football, players are working for each other, manager is respected with a clear vision it's a team you would want to be a part of. Why on Earth would you have wanted to be at Spurs last season with all the mess.

Our history, London geographical base, good training facilities (apparently) are other elements but we should make hay while the sun is shinning and back the manager this window.

Well the rumours are that Poch wants Bobby and Ade out (not sure if true) that means we need two strikers. I would have a go for Danny Ingis, the guy has bags of potential, he is a proper target man and we could pick up for cheap as his contract is up soon, apparently we are already on the hunt, he would also be more willing I feel to not have to play every game like a seasoned forward.

As Jayc1 Jayc1 will tell you I am a huge fan of either Bony or Benteke however they may be hard to aquire without a serious offer. If we did obtain one of these men I wouldn't worry about Kane, we are playing Prem, EL, FA cup, League Cup so we have many games to go, also Kane's favourite position is apparently as a second striker number 10 similar to Sheringham and Rooney, we could throw say Ingis up front and play Kane just behind.

Keep Soldado good mentor for Harry and ditch Ade, get another striker.

He's one of these players who I was aware of, but didn't pay a huge amount of attention to. For the past couple of weeks, I've been keeping my eye on him in any highlights, and I'm always impressed.

His work rate and tenacity are great, not to mention that he's one of the oldest looking 22 year olds I've seen in quite a while! Plenty of time to grow. Oh, and there's this...

I want this. Fuck Berahino - the overpriced, poor man's Sterling/110 mph drink driving twat.

If Kane is dropped to a deeper, 'number 10' role, does that mean Eriksen is played on the left? I feel the team is playing really well in its current formation, the width provided by Townsend and Walker has made a big difference giving our central playmakers the space to pull the strings.

I don't know if Ings himself is the answer, but IMHO it is that type of player we need to supplement and compete with Kane.

Berahino would be great, but not at that price.

Good question, Kane and Eriksen both like that sort of hole position but Kane has done a great job playing the number 9 role. Right now Kane is our best outfield player IMO and the current system seems to be working, however if during the transfer window we get one or two good forwards we could end up in different situations. For example we may rest Eriksen for a game and Kane can drop deeper or if we are playing a 'smaller team' we may want to play two strikers together wish might push Eriksen to the left or right slightly.

Everything right now is good but injury, suspension can happen and we need to have the covering forwards to come in, Ade and Bobby have not been doing enough.

Agree. Unless we can get a good fee for Soldado, there is no reason to sell him.

Get Ade off the books and get a third, senior striker. Ings would be good, as would a few others. Then come summer, we should look for other premium options as long term Soldado upgrades.

How is Konoplyanka doing in Ukraine this season? Haven't heard a lot about him since summer but he's on an outgoing contract and could be a possible bargain.

We absolutely need another striker.

If Kane got a season ending injury on 1st feb we would be fucked.

Not a chance we can rely on Soldado or Adebayor.

I would sell both, and bring one in. I like the thought of Berahino due to his u21 links with Kane, however he has gone off the boil a little and his stats over his last 2 seasons are less than impressive. Could just be a hot patch for him atm.

Imagine all the good work done recently and then we are left with Ade and Bobby if Kane gets injured, would be a disaster. Striker is a must, it could even make or break our season potentially.
