Milner is the one I want the most. Type of player who just gives his all for the team, shows leadership also which is something we lack on the field due to having a really young team.

If we end up with De Jong I'd be delighted, and possibly someone like Ings wouldn't be too bad but I am unable to think that he is going to be the right player to see us through what could be a lot of matches.

Most teams fall away in late March or April, and we can't afford another Saha/Nelsen transfer window....two strikers would be ideal (with Ade leaving)

People might hate me for saying this but... I really don't want Bony. Buying him would be the worst thing for Kane's development, as both should be played in the centre.

Fucking hell, people. Can we stop viewing football as black and white. I've seen so many people suggest we shouldn't get a great striker because this will harm Kane, which is just ridiculous for so many reasons.

1. Formation. You can play 4-4-2 which would allow Kane to play, a new striker to play and Eriksen to play. Imagine a 4-3-2-1 with Bony, Kane and Eriksen, all of whom pose different problems. Kane would therefore get the same game time and it wouldn't damage his development.

2. Squad rotation. We play more games than almost any other club in Europe. We generally rack up over 60-70+ games and playing Kane in a European cup quarter final, compared to a league game, won't damage his development in the slightest.

3. Whoever we buy, Kane will be 1st choice. Poch tends to give players months to settle and even then only picks players based on form, not price, name or reputation.

4. Young players develop in training too. Kane barely played until last year and so "couldn't develop", had Adebayor, Defoe, Soldado in front of him yet scored 3 goals in 3 apps.

A new striker won't hurt him or his development. The lad is 21, last thing you want to do is over play him and he gets a huge injury.

Only 3 players worth considering, surprised, didn't know Adebayor had only 6 months left.

Scharr, de jong on a 1 year, khedira, konoplyonka, milner. - more than three. Scharr is realistic and would be grea . Khedira would be fantasic but probably too good for us. De jong could do a job, but thats if Poch really wants Capoue out. Milner - cant see him leaving City but would be great.

On Kane's form I don't see him becoming number two at all and we need proper back up if he gets injured or tired or whatever, as has been said Kane plays in several positions. The only threat I see is if we don't get a new striker and are left with Bobby and Ade.

I'd be happy if we just got rid of Adebayor, and got a promising young forward on loan to give us cover in case of injuries. And maybe recall Holtby to fill in whilst Bentaleb is out.

Shame, Imagine all that Bentaleb and Mason could learn from him in that time.
Lots, I'd imagine. You don't get form like this over night.
