Transfers January 2018 transfer thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

This won't happen in January but still:

I won't forget that he didn't want to play for us anymore to force a move to Madrid. Same goes for Luka who openly stated his love to play for the blue chavs.

Chelsea would never sell to us.

There's clearly something there though. Someone said it in the Other Matches Thread but it's hilarious that they bought Drinkwater for £30,000,000 and shafted this guy out on loan to the worst team in the league.

Who cares we made a shit load of money and got Eriksen, Lamela and if you count the sales of our flops from the money and reinvestments the likes of Waynama, Toby etc.

The old Bale was amazing but this new one is injury prone and way too expensive. BYE!

I find our collective obsession with Bale very weird, embarassing even.

We are like the jilted lover whose fit girlfriend found a richer, better-looking beau. We asked if we could still be friends and years later are still asking our mates if they think she might come back one day.

Fuck her and fuck him
Refusing to to lick your balls whilst waiting for the new man to paint the bedroom and buy silk sheets and then on the
first night with him she lets him give it up the wrong'un, first fucking night!!!

Solo laps round WHL, lapping up the applause for himself wouldn't cut it with this team.

Why not? They are not going to play own-youth anytime soon. They're merc team with foreign players only. Only English regular in their team is Cahill and he's fecking mediocre.

It's just easy enough to not sell to us, same reason we can get by not doing business with them or United. The sorts of players they have that we would be interested in will have multiple other suitors able to offer equal or better sums. Given that scenario, why would they ever sell to us and risk that player turning up and help elevate us above them in terms of London clubs.

It's bad enough when one of yours goes north and makes you look stupid, can't have that in your back yard.

Can someone please tell me what he actually did against Germany that everyone is wanking over.

A great pass to Vardy, who is shit so fluffed the chance and a great pass to Livermore in the 2nd half, that's it. Everything else is as routine, couple of hospital passes in that montage too. When not being shit gets you MOTM.

Couldn't agree more, although I would love bale in our side, it's the old bale that I loved seeing in a spurs shirt, not the injured player on £300k a week!no one can argue that On his day he could be a match winner, but he can't even stay fit for a full season in Spain, not sure how he would cope in the PL!
It's all about finding the next Bale for me, no way in a million years levy is going to splash £85 million on a player as fragile as Bale, and even less chance of him taking a pay cut to £100k a week to join us!
We won't pay 85m for Bale, nobody will and Real realizes this. He'd probably fetch 40-50m and strikes me as a guy willing to take a pay-cut. Not on 300k a week either at Real

Add to that the fact that he was always a speed merchant and age and injuries will be taking their toll. Don't get me wrong, he wouldn't be a bad option to have. But the transfer doesn't make any sense unless you have unlimited money or he is willing to seriously drop his wages
Speed merchant? Walcott is a speed merchant. You don't get 21 pl goals, be a key player in a Real madrid side winning 3 chl titles in the last 4 years by being a speed merchant. This forum is ridiculous at times, as if you can become a world class player simply by being fast. Insanity
