Good player, I would be happy if we signed him. Excellent delivery and a hard worker, more reliable in the buildup than Lucas.

Agreed, I really like him too.

Whilst we do need players who are going to come in and make a real difference to our starting line up, I don't think we should shy away from what we had been doing for decades prior.

Signing the likes of McNeil, Eze, Aarons, Ferguson, Bellingham, Bowen etc to fill out our squad, mould them into top stars is something that we've had alot of success with in the past with the likes of Dawson, Huddlestone, Bale, Lennon, Defoe etc.

Don't know if that is flashy enough for Mourinho. He might need Rose to google him for him.

If we need a beast of a forward, Duvan Zapata from Atalanta would be our guy. But he would probably cost more than Levy would ever consider
Duvan is also on a loan from Sampdoria so it would take negotiating with both clubs.

Bit too much work I figure. Probably easier to loan in Jovic from Madrid all things considered.

There’s nothing wrong with focusing on young talent, I have no problem with that. The problem with our squad is that it’s lost it’s edge, young British players will have a big hunger to work hard and succeed here and that’s what we need.

I don’t really understand how we could sign a player like Dele and then seemingly just give up on signing more players with a similar profile.

Troy Parrott still aged 17 so maximum I am expecting for him this season is an FA Cup appearance and maybe a couple of short cameos off the bench in other matches. Aren't too many 17 year olds who would expect more. Hoping he makes a big impression in next preseason and then gets maybe a dozen appearances mainly off the bench or a league 1 loan.
All entirely reasonable. Do you think that would be enough to keep him from the clutches of a German club?

People keep saying a defensive midfielder should be top of the list, but I am not convinced that is our biggest issue. Do you not see the trouble we have playing out from the back in the face of aggressive pressing? Ings and Redmond frightened the piss out of our CBs yesterday. People will say Vertonghen gave the ball away 33 times and we kept going from front to back too quickly, but nobody was showing for it. I think we need more players who want the ball.
👀 Just give Jose some time. He will instill this in our players. He's only been here like 10 weeks.

Who are these players? I thought we had a brilliant summer signing two world class players in Ndombele and Lo Celso. At this point I'm truly concerned about their future with us
I would have liked to see another 2-3 faces in the summer but all the same, I was looking forward to seeing us play some serious football again with the additions of Ndombele and Lo Celso. Who knows when we will see Ndombele again. It's a nightmare.

Oh, then it's just seemed that long. Hasn't taken you long to realize it's the players and revise history to
I said that in the summer. I gave our transfer business 6/10 when the window closed. For a clever guy, I don't understand your need to make stuff up. It's why I don't always bother engaging with you.

Why would we need to buy anyone in the next window? This one's been so fabulous that we are all set up for the next 3 years.

I know there is still time, but I am disappointed we have not managed to shift more of our squad players.

Relieved we finally got Lo Celso, but overall, it's been a real mixed bag for me. We've let problems pile up for years, and it was always going to be a big ask to rectify them all in one window.

Bothered that Alderweireld, Vertonghen and Eriksen are running down their contracts.

Champions League money is flushed away from the P&L for next year, so absolutely no incentive to invest for ENIC this window. Only silly emotions connected with wanting to win and not finish 8th would justify spending any money in January.

This season is shaping up like the Pleat plod in 2003/04. No clear direction and writing off a season with a shrug.

On an emotional level we needed some
Premier league quality added as of 1 January, ready to go....as it is, looks again like Prick in a yellow tie will make his living off our name at the end of the month and we will be disappointed again by not getting Charlie Adam and the lack of emotion from the boardroom.

Still stadium’s nice.

Yes was thinking that myself. Its like Pleat / Mo Pos 1st season.
