Not sure how I feel about that. I think Lo Celso can offer so much, but the fact we haven’t made it a permanent deal, despite it being cheaper this month, makes it seem we are hesitating.

As for Foyth, I think Tanganga might take over him now. A loan move could be ideal for him.

We need competition for places. Lo Celso is versatile, as is Fernandes. I dont mind both.

Can see the effect of having no backup for Kane.

Here’s my answer to that:
Ten Games, no pre season, no signings

Five and a half years, 6 pre seasons, 450M on 27 players

If you see no difference, then you aren’t worth any more of my time.

So you're basically saying that it's impossible to change anything short-term? Then why do we see teams, fighting for survival, change managers towards the end of the season? That doesn't make any sense, cos that would mean a new manager should be able to work with another man's players

Gedson looks better than Winks. He may not be a true 6 but Gedson-Ndombele is an upgrade from Winks-Ndombele
I don’t have a massive problem with winks to be honest. . .

My problem is we have so many midfielders plus we look to be signing one more, and none of them seem to have the positional awareness or defensive mindset to sit off, break up play and re-cycle possession.

I am not a football analyst, I’m just an arm chair fan and obviously the club has highly paid individuals that know the game a lot better than I do, but I just don’t understand why we aren’t in for someone that atleast gets a foot in.

If we play a double pivot, one of them needs to have a decent amount of defensive qualities, if we play a 3 then the deepest one should at the very least be a 6/8 hybrid.

Is there something I am missing here? How are we signing another box to box and expecting this to help us?

Are the reports wrong about Gedson and he actually does have some CDM qualities?

:mourfacepalm:

Get some players on loan. Fernandes, Llorente, Vidal, whoever. Bring in Luis Campos from Lille as DOF and think through the rebuild. I said it before and will say it again. No fucking panic.
