Most young players get their first chance through injuries or the first team player is not performing well over a period of time, always been the way. Kane got his first PL starts as Soldado wasn't performing - he'd have probably eventually got one as he was so highly rated but the reason he got one was Soldado's lack of goals.

Time will tell, but he does seem to be making an effort to involve some youngsters - Cirkin (18 year old LB) on bench v Boro. Early days for Mourhino but maybe he will continue to develop youth - he brought several through at ManU, again as some of the squad were not performing and youth were a possible solution which he took
I wouldn't hold my breath, like Poch, he's under pressure to get results, to get top four. I think it's hard to develop youth under those circumstances. He will trust as experience first and foremost just as Poch did, that's why he has kept hold of TA and is trying to keep hold of Verts.

We should hire the dof who then chooses the head coach. Now we have a manager who is so powerful and confident were going to find it impossible to get anyone buy Campos in if we do want a DOF.

When this Mourinho journey reaches the end, we should go for Stuart Webber as DoF. So amazing what he's done at Norwich for no money at all. We might end up with a Dortmund understudy as head coach. He brought in Farke and prior to that he got Wagner to Huddersfield.

Cant disagree with him being under pressure and needing results, which must curtail or restrict what he can do.

Think he has to keep Toby and Jan onside as we only have those two and Sanchez as CB's but I think he is rotating to bring in Tanganga not entirely out of necessity but as part of long term planning - Foyth would have looked more attractive to Tanganga otherwise and we might have heard more noise about CB's this TW.

Can only see how things unroll but I think (or maybe hope) we'll see maybe 2 or 3 youngsters get enough game time this season for them to be regarded as squad fillers next season.

I think he certainly prefers Tanganga to Foyth in terms of cover but i'm not getting the impression that Foyth has much of a future here. He's taking the FA cup seriously which is good but that cuts down the chances of youngsters getting game time.

Depends on what the transfer plans are in the summer, he may be forced into using more youngsters next season out of necessity.

It’s worth pointing out that Barnet’s agency, the stellar group represent William Jose at sociedad who we were linked with yesterday. What if it was to discuss that deal?

Most likely. Spurs have had many players represented by the Stellar group

Jovic
Son Dele Lo Celso
Soumare Ndombele
Sess Sanchez Toby Tanganga
Hugo

We’d get 4th place back with this to finish the season.

I wouldn't put Ndombele anywhere near center midfield this season. He isn't ready for it. If heplays I'd play him in the Eriksen role. He has the tricks and vision for that and doesn't have to worry too much about the defensive side

The thing is, everyone is talking like the window has shut
I think it’s also reflective of the games without a goal and the potential for another couple of games to come yet that will be spunked away before we reach the man in the yellow tie and Ryan Babel and his chopper saying “no”

All pathetic, seems incredible that someone did not foresee this fuck up and have someone ready for transfer.

Anyway, we can but hope for a decent outcome.

I know what you mean, but is that really our level ? Probably is this season to be fair.

And I know what you mean. I wouldn't have a clue, if he was able to build something big here. I would like us to do something like RB Leipzig. They have bought some of Europe's biggest talents for years now, and atm they are reaping the rewards. Stuart Webber, at only 35, has already been scout at Liverpool, chief scout at QPR and Wolves and DoF at Huddersfield and Norwich. I wouldn't mind
