My only problem with Levy is his , IMHO, too profit orientated approach. There is a time to spend big to progress the team both on and off the field and we don't see that from him.Daniel Levy cares about this club, everyone who thinks he enjoys sabotaging us is an idiot
(not that I'm implying this is what you think)
Sure, he has his flaws: I am not going to deny his negotiation style takes too long or that his haggling is excessive, but I can understand why he does it.
In addition, Levy is also part of Tottenham Hotspur, so let's at least give him the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise. (By which I mean if the window closes and we don't have a striker in, we should riot)
I would say avoid tweeners at all cost and get 2 actual practitioners of both positions. But he is young and we know that's your thing. But again, that wasn't my point and you know it.
My point was he isn't what you thought he was and your impression was borne from the goal stats. Hard to replicate that goal hanging and implement the 'intelligence' when you can't get to those positions.
Won't be cheap, so that nullifies all mentioned aboveMax Aarons looks like he could be a quality fullback. Only 20 years old and looked very solid. If Norwich go down in the summer you can bet your sweet ass that there will be Premier League clubs lining up to take him away.
Young, talented and English. Ticks Levy's boxes.

Yeah, that's true. They'd probably want £30m+ for him.
Did you read the article about Fat Frank that I sent you?I don't really know what you point was Todd, I'm not sure you do. He is exactly what I thought he was. A 19yo kid who's still raw, who I watched play numerous times for Fulham - because we'd been heavily linked with him - and saw that at times he showed enough composure (remarkable composure for a 17yo at the time) to score 16 and assist 8 goals in the championship.
Tonight emphasised why I still see him and would rather he played as a wide forward. But for 25m I thought it was worth a punt for a kid that could potentially offer us cover in two positions and maybe excel in one of them. he's HG so it's almost a free hit, and will definitely be some value to recover if it fails.
I mean as a forward he could be no fucking less composed than the clowns we've got up there now, who haven't got a first touch between them.
I agree with you in that he is too profit oriented. My only problem with Levy is his , IMHO, too profit orientated approach. There is a time to spend big to progress the team both on and off the field and we don't see that from him.
Though I have my thoughts on reasons why we'll not sign anyone this window.
Both were free transfers. Saha came in on an 18 month deal. Pienar went the other way, but not sure it was connected.
Nelson had his contract cancelled and joined as a free agent the next day on a 6 month deal with a 12 month option. Was never taken up.
In 9 years this guy has moved for a grand total of 7m Eur. And 6m of that was his last move three years ago. Why the fuck would we pay any more than 10m for him. He's going to be worth about 2m in a years time.
